I really enjoy making items from recycled jeans, sweaters, etc. and adding fun embroidery designs too!! My granddaughter really loves when i make her dolls funky outfits made of different fabrics that add texture.
I primarily sew for my dolls. I sew sporadically since I only sew for myself or for swaps on my groups.
I sew with a wonderful group of ladies that provide 18” dolls, a complete handmade wardrobe, a doll quilt, pillow and pillow case all packed in a handmade tote to little girls that have been brought in for examination because they have been sexually abused. Our mission is hopefully to provide a bit of their childhood!! We rely on $$ to purchase the dolls and donated fabrics. It is a very rewarding activity!!

I spend way to many hours knitting and sewing in a week but its so much fun.
My passion is needlework but I sew doll clothes to hone my sewing skills. I also make doll shoes, and machine embroider. I spend at least 20 hours a week or more playing in my craft room. The doll clothes goes to a little girl who loves her doll. It all fun.
