I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Civil War era (mens and womenswear clothes, Childress clothing and the quilts) and I love early Jurisalem time period—specifically the life of Christ.
For Mt Graduate project…I made a History of Fashion using 18” dolls and used Pixie Faire for most of my patterns. And for my Children’s class at church…I made lots of clothes representing various stories of Christ…all for my 18” dolls. Those kids loved it and I use those outfits when teaching bible stories. Love Pixie Faire patterns for this project, too!!!
Who said women can’t play with dolls???
My favorite historical time period is the Victorian era with all the details on the gowns and undergarments.
I have 2 favorite time periods: mid-19th century & mid-20th century. I like & haver made several outfits from the pioneer-civil war era. I have made many outfits from the 1930-1950s & some into the early 1960s, because this is the era I grew up in.
my favorite historical time is about 1860- 1900’s.
Definitely Victorian era!
My favorite time period is the 50’s.
My favourite historical period is Regency – mainly because of Bridgerton and all the beautiful gowns they wore.
I’m not a fan of ruffles and lace. Sleek, slimming lines and fashions from any era draw me in. I’m a big fan of Connie Lowe, her Depression-era Stella and friends dolls, and the simple, utilitarian clothes she creates for them.
The ’60’s as these were my “times”
My favorite is the Victorian era, I love the full skirts of the 1850s and also the amount of change that the era went through is fascinating to me.
My favourite historical period is the regency era, I love the fashion!
I love the 1920’s styles such as in Downton Abbey.
My favorite historical time period is mid-20th century — 1930 through 1960. My AG collection represents those years. I think it’s because it reminds me of the world in which I grew up. I like other eras, too, especially contemporary styles when I sew for a little girl.
My favorite historical time period is the Victorian era.
My vote would have to go to the styles of the roaring 20s. What fun!
My favorite historical period is the Regency Era. Though the 1920’s are a close second.
I love the 1960 because of all the beautiful colours and the fantastic designs
My favorite period is the 1950’s – that’s when I was born!
My favorite historical time period is the Victorian era !
My favorite historical time period is between the 1930s and 1950s. especially love the 50s because that’s when I was a little girl.
My favorite historical period is the late 40’s and into the 50’s. The gowns were incredibly graceful and elegant (think Grace Kelly) Even everyday dresses and suits were so ladylike with beautiful designer touches.
I like contemporary fashion, especially making matching trendy outfits for my granddaughters and their dolls.
My favourite historical period is the Roaring Twenties. I love the flapper style dresses and head pieces the ladies used to wear.
My favourite historical time period is right 1940s. During and after the 2nd world war, women began to experience more career choices.
That’s a tough one!! I like the Victorian era, renaissance has a whimsical draw, but I guess my fav would have to be the 50s. The styles are so good! The music is the best. Yeah… the 50s. 😊
My favourite historical time period is the regency period. I love everything Jane Austen!
My favorite time period is Native American history
My favorite historical time period is right now. We are so lucky to be able to look back and sew any of those wonderful fashions from long ago to right now! Thank you to all you wonderful ladies for creating those patterns for us and for Pixie Faire for giving them an outlet to get those patterns to us!
I love historical clothing! It’s hard to choose a favorite time period—1920-1960’s currently interest me.
I have always been fascinated with the time surrounding the American Civil War.
I love the beauty of Regency and Victorian times their elegentecy and beauty match no others.
Not only are they fun to make but also choosing beautiful fabric to make and trim. Some of the pixie patterns are just great for rmakig these..Thanks for the beautiful patterns and time spent making these. Donna
I love those 50’s-60’s era! The rock and roll 🎸 times are the days I grew up in.
My favorite historical time period is the 1900s thru to 1940s. I love these 5 decades of history because you can see how the mentalities of people changed in how the fashion changes, especially women’s fasion. It goes from long skirts in the Edwardian period to shorter “flapper” dresses in the 20s and then in the 30s and 40s you see women’s fasion change to compliment a working lifestyle during the depression and WWII.
I love the forty’s
My favorite historical time period is Victorian for doll dresses because of the elaborate embellishments.
My favorite historical time period is the 18th Century. I like both the common people’s dress and the elite’s ball gowns.
My favorite time period is the 19Teens: 1910-1920. The fashions changes in this short time period went from slim long skirts to wide shorter ones. It’s hard to find a brief time like this where so many changes came about. By 1920, fashions had entered the modern period with more comfortable, practical clothing including shorter, looser skirts.
My favourite historical time would be the 50’s. I just loved the styles.
I love the variety of patterns offered at Pixie Faire, and the products such as doll sized zippers and shoe materials that cannot be found anywhere else!
It’s so hard to choose! A few of my favorite time periods have to be the Regency and Victorian. The clothing from these eras are so elegant! I also like the fashion from the pioneer days, and the 50’s style dresses.
I like the art deco period. I like the styles in clothes and furniture. It was sleek and square look, no fuss, and looked comfortable.
My favorite historical time period is hard to decide. I love Regency England (so elegant! love my Jane Austen novels), Egypt during the time of the pharaohs (such a rich civilization and filled with Biblical relevance), and Civil War (the dresses! love the hoop skirts). I also have a fascination with World War II and the era leading up to it. History is such a rich resource to learn from.
I like the art deco period. I like the styles in clothes and furniture. It was sleek and square look, no fuss, and looked comfortable.
I like the Regency Period because of the simple, natural, elegant lines of the dresses. Also, the Indian Sari is also beautiful.
My favorite time period is the 70, what a great time for fabulous fashion!
My favorite era was the 40’s-50’s. I feel like the styles were still feminine. I love looking at old pics of my Mom during that time. She was such a fashionista in her time!
My favourite historical time period is the Tudors. Their costumes are so elaborate and made with beautiful fabrics. The royalty that is, of course, not the general population of the time.
I guess my favorite historical time is our revolution era of the late 1700s. In our turmoil political times of today, I find myself thinking a lot about how our ancestors thought back then. We sought independence to become a strong and intelligent nation. We need to go back to the simple ideals and common sense of that time period. And, yes I love the fashions, too!
My favorite historical time period is the Edwardian period. The world was beginning to change into a more progressive and practical time. Innovation was exploding and class differences were decreasing. Fashion was still elegant for the rich, but the average person was achieving a style of dress more fashionable than in the past thanks to innovation in textile production and affordability.
I love all the eras because of all the variety each one has.
My favorite historical period is probably the 1800’s. The clothes were so elaborate and detailed, and people truly dressed up for everything.
I love lots of different historical time periods, but the 50s/60s is dear to my heart because I lived them!
My favorite historical time period is the 1800’s. I love the look of the clothes from that period. I do genealogy, too and I have several family members that fought in the Civil War. To see what they wore and researching my family during that period goes hand and hand.

My favorite historical period is the 1930s
My favorite historical time period is the late 1800s. Prairie life, the people, their stories, and the styles of the time intrigue me.
My favorite time period is Victorian England!
My favorite historical time period is the 1940s and 1950s. It was still a conservative time and ranged from true glamor to petticoats (adults)
I love fashions from the 1910s because of the empire waists and sheer overlays.
My favorite historical time period is the mid 1800’s. Love the long dresses and all the detail.
My favorite historical time period is the 1950’s because the clothes for girls were so sweet.
I love the roaring 20’s style dresses! I also love the renaissance period. Those dresses were so elegant and detailed! I’m sure they were also hot and uncomfortable to wear!
I love all the historical costumes. As a homeschooler for many years that was a great way to learn about the people of differing times and cultures.
My favorite historical time period is the Victorian era. Dresses were fancy

One of my favorite eras for historical costumes is the Regency Era. I really enjoy watching movies that showcase dresses from that particular time in history.
Another era of costuming that I’m drawn to is the 1920’s.I loved seeing the dresses worn by Phyrne Fisher on the Australian series Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries.
My favorite time period is the renaissance through the Victorian age!
I love the ancient world time periods – Egypt, Rome, and Greece!
My favorite time period is Victorian England!
I am starting my trip though period fashion at the beginning of the year….starting with the civil war era. Your patterns work well to create from….thank you for your wide verity.
My favorite historical time period is the 1980’s. But I also love the victorian, medieval, and the pioneer as well.
How to choose what is your favourite historical era is a hard choice. I love all choices for fashion. It’s so interesting to see how the evolution of fashion has changed, evolved, come full circle, adapted, borrowed, plus so many other elements that create a uniqueness for each time.
My favorite historical time period is the 1800’s, so many beautiful fashions.
“My favorite historical time period is several. Each time period has it own style of clothing. I do favor the Renaissance Era and the 1800"s. Women and girls had unique clothing for these and all periods.
My favourite historical period is Steampunk, I love the style of the clothes and the funkiness of the added mechanical bits and bobs
My favorite historical time period is 1830s flapper era. Short skirts and fringe!

My favorite time period is Now, Modern day styles that are up to date and in Fashion NOW.
I don’t have a favorite historical time period but I love long elaborate dresses which can be found in almost any era.
My favorite historical time period is the Victorian era.
I have always liked the long dresses of the western/pioneer days. They were feminine but rugged. The dressier one with hoops were pretty, tho I imagine hard to maneuver around in . Thank you PF staff. Have a Blessed New Year !
For reading, I love the regency period. For sewing, I would have to say the current period. Making doll clothes that mimic current styles is fun.
My fav time period is Regency. The clothes were so feminine.
My favorite time period is the 50s as it lets me share my youth with my granddaughters as I recreate clothes for their dolls of that time.
I am not good at remembering years, but I love the poofy sleeves (leg of mutton, gigot) that narrow at the wrist. I want that sleeve to come back in style so much!
My favorite time period is the Victorian era
My favorite historical time period would be early 20th century…20’s, 30’s, 40’s. I would add, however, I enjoy just about any era. The 50’s would be when I grew up and I love the little girl dresses, too.
My absolute favorite is medieval, but there aren’t many patterns for that time period. My second favorite is 1700’s.
My favorite historical periods would be the late 50’s through 70’s. Fashion evolved so much through those years and I witnessed it first hand.
The 70’s: “Tie dye shirts, Mexican ‘peasant’ blouses, folk-embroidered Hungarian blouses, ponchos, and capes. Bottom attire for women during this time included bell-bottoms, gauchos, frayed jeans, midi skirts, and ankle-length maxi dresses.”
My favorite historical time period … well can I give 2? Lol. (1) Civil War (2) Victorian. I love the fullness of the dress, all those layers & such great attention to details!!
