My favorite historical time period is probably the pattern I would be working on each time I sew. I love anything historical. Each period has it’s own wow factors. Right now I’m into the 1700’s and 1800’s long fancy gowns. I also love the 30’s and 40’s nice crisp lines. Anything historical works for me.

My favorite historical time period is the civil war era. My granddaughters go to the local 1861 girls school each year. I make their period clothes and make matching doll clothes. It’s so much fun to share this with the girls. They also have a ladies weekend and I get to wear some of the outfits. We eat, sew, paint, make toiletries etc.

Run the Avenue with with cool cars. Bell bottoms, mini skirts elephant pants, GoGo boots etc were all popular as were the Beetles. Hippies and peace were going on as was the Vietnam war. I don’t believe I have any favorite time period.historically. Each has its own beauty as well as ugliness. The Victorian fashions are beautiful to look at but were very restrictive and painful as well as harmful for the wearer. Then you can go to a period where things were less restrictive but miss some of the elegance like the 60s and 70s,colorful though they were. I like and don’t like things about each of them.
