Welcome to DAY 7 of our 12 Days if Christmas celebration!

For our 7th Day Of Christmas giveaway, we are doing a GIVEAWAY of one $100 A Girl For All Time eGift Card to one lucky winner. The gift card can be used towards any item available on the A Girl For All Time website! Woot, Woot!

More about A Girl For All Time:  A Girl For All Time® dolls are 16-inch dolls who represent fictional British historical characters as well as modern English girls, and even a new boy doll named Max. Dolls from the Your Historical Girl™ collection are the perfect choice for those interested in English history, as each doll is a member of the same ancestral line through the generations. Each doll’s accompanying book explores their own search to connect with the history of their ancestors as well as depicting life in their own time period. AGAT also produces a collection of contemporary dolls in their Your Modern Girl™ line.

Check out our full A Girl For Time Doll Reveiw.

Check out our collection of patterns designed especially for A Girl For All Time dolls.

I don’t really have a favorite era of fashion, as that tends to change with each individual doll, but I love making more fanciful costumes. I’d love to see more steampunk or sci-fi inspired outfits. My girls like to pretend their dolls are building robots, befriending aliens, casting magical spells, and flying airships.

My favorite era of fashion & clothing is the Regency Era. I would love to see patterns for dresses girls, not ladies, would have worn on a daily basis. The simplicity of the styles leaves lots of room for handwork and/or delicate fabric.

My favorite era of clothing and fashion is many of them. I like Regency dresses and hair. I like the gowns from the Civil War. I like what Audrey Hepburn, Doris Day and Sandra Dee wore. My latest kick has been Depression Lace on gingham dresses (also called Chicken Scratch Embroidery). So I would love to see some patterns for that. My favorite items to sew from different eras are the simple and feminine dresses of the Regency era, “pioneer” dresses from the mid 1800’s, and the feedsack dresses of the 1930’s and 40’s. Girl For All Time dolls wear historical clothing beautifully! Something about their posture. I already have Clementine and Amelia, with Lydia on her way! Although I’ve sewn mostly historical dresses for them, I would love to see some elegant modern day party dress patterns. Something more couture but not too difficult as these dolls are very slim and a bit harder to sew for. (I’d also love to see some nightgown and pajama patterns for Kidz n Cats dolls!)
