My favorite winter sport is hoping for snow! I’m in the south and it doesn’t happen often.

My favorite winter sport to watch on tv is figure skating. Since I am 74 years old I try to stay indoors during the winter. But as a kid I liked to sled ride. Now I am a couch potato.
I live down South, so our winters are less snowy and more rainy (if we have cold winters), but when we do have snow, I love to build snowmen and have snowball fights.

My favorite winter sport is wandeling in the snow. I like stay at home by wood stove and daydream. Then, I take time to knit and to sew or make embroideries.
I just love watching the snow fall. I’m in a boot right now so that’s all I can do. I use to love sled riding. My sister lives next to the town park, with hills. We’ve been sledding there for many, many years. Now I just take photos so I don’t break anything.

Walking the dog in the snow. We share a common access road with several neighbors and everyone walks it , year round. It’s the only safe place to walk for miles around in our rural
area. In the snow it’s quiet .Our red heeler loves to meet and greet everyone from walkers to horseback riders. The last few days we have had about 9 inches.

I liked cross-country skiing when I lived in snow country. Great exercise while taking in the beautiful winter surroundings.
I’m not athletic, so my favorite winter sport is curling up in front of a fire (preferably indoors, but I’ll take the firepit with a blanket or two), with a warm drink and a dog—or two—laying on my feet.

Where I grew up, “winter sports” was staying in and reading or crafting in the cold and rain, I never skied until I was out of college; I don’t think I’ve ever ice skated, certainly not out doors. I love to watch it snow as I sit by a fire with a cup of cocoa and a good book or handwork. When I live in places where it does snow, I do enjoy cross country skiing.

I’m not a sport person, but love seeing the snow and how my granddaughters play with it
