The tips on sewing with stretchy fabrics were incredibly helpful! I had only recently started sewing with knits and I had no idea what to do with them.
I joined Sewing With Cinnamon at the very beginning. I have learned at least one new thing from every course (usually more than one)! My most favorite so far is from 2017 Sewing with Knits. I was struggling sewing on the newer thin, slippery knit fabrics and learned some new tricks to be more successful sewing them. I love the pattern hacks, utilizing patterns I already have. Pixie Faire ‘sees’ more possibilities for hacks than I can imagine.

My favortie Pixie Faire course, tutorial, or pattern hack is shoes because they are so adorable
I have 2 pattern hacks that I love and use all the time. Both are made from the tee shirt pattern. The first is the cozy cardigan made from the long sleeve tee shirt pattern. It makes such a cute cardigan to pair with jeans, pants, skirts or dresses. And so easy to make. The second is the swim suit cover up. It is so cute and also easy to make. Instead of the self ruffle, I use a short cut and use purchased lace or trim. I almost always include one with each swim suit I make. Can’t go wrong with either of these pattern hacks.
I love the pattern hack on seam finishes, because it makes the clothes look so much more professional!
