My favorite fashion era is the late 14th/early 15th century with their fitted kirtles and overdresses with varying sleeve styles. I would like to see more historic patterns from this era that can be used for either peasants, middle class or noble/royals.
Maybe some school clothes from the 50’s would be fun?
My favorite fashion era is the old south I would love to see a gown for Scarlet O’Hara
My favorite era is Victorian. I would love to see a pattern for a Woman’s party dress.
My favorite fashion era is… hmm, I’m not really sure except that most of the dresses I make seem to be 1940s & 50s. I did finally design and hand sew a Recency dress and bonnet last year, which was one of my goals.
I would like to see a historical pattern offered for… vintage hats. Even though I don’t wear them I love them: From the little school marm looking ones to the Jackie O styles to the satin saucer one that looks like something Audrey Hepburn would have worn. I’ve tried to make some tiny little Barbie hats for my 40s & 50s dresses, but they don’t turn out the way I envisioned because we don’t have the right material locally. So ideas for hats would be cool.
The other goal I have is to do dresses for other cultures. Since our shoeboxes are on their way to Africa this year, it would be nice to figure out something they would like. Although, I need to find fabric that looks like the lovely vibrant ones they have but small print to look proportional to the doll wearing it.
