My favorite fashion era is… I’m an old-fashioned girl at heart. While I love the elegance of the gowns worn in the 18th and 19th centuries, I’d like to see more casual clothing for the historical characters. These fancy gowns are not so appropriate for children. Samantha/Nellie/Rebecca are easy because the periodicals are available for free on Google Books! The Delineator, McCall’s, Ladies’ Home Journal and early editions of Harper’s Bazaar all featured clothing patterns and fashion sketches. Undergarments are also a necessity.

My favorite fashion era is the 1950s (classic lines – yes please!). BUT I would like to see a historical pattern offered for a NASA flight suit (either the orange pumpkin “space shuttle launch” suit or a regular astronaut flight suit.

Kat

I love the colonial era..

WATHA

My favorite fashion era is Victorian. I love the long flowing dresses of that era.

My favorite eras are the pioneer era and the 30s through 50s. I particularly love everyday clothing that average people wore, like school or play clothes for the girls, or nightwear.
