My favorite fashion era would probably include the 1950’s and 1960’s. I was born in 1955 and played with dolls myself starting in probably 1959. I didn’t think about the fashions of the times while I was playing with my dolls…just took them for granted. Plus, I never specifically took note of what my mother was wearing at the time. My mother is gone now, so many things about her come flooding back at various points in my life. The fashion norms for this era would be what interests me…not necessarily what someone would wear as evening wear. Pixie Faire is an awesome website and I so enjoy your daily newsletters. Thank you so much. Some day I would love to enroll in some of the Pixie Faire classes, but time just doesn’t allow right now. I love to quilt, knit, crochet, embroider, etc., etc. Thank you for all you do!
My favorite fashion era is the early 1900’s and the 1940’s and 1950’s. I especially love to sew the doll clothes that resemble Pollyanna’s dresses and the poodle skirt of the 50’s.
My favorite fashion era is the ’60s. I like the street fashions of that time rather than the designer fashions of that era and would like to see a few patterns reflect that. Thanks!
