My biggest sewing challenge is having time to do all the projects I plan.
My biggest sewing challenge is procrastination :(
My biggest challenge is find printed fabrics that I like with the design in the proper scale.
My biggest sewing challenge is securing the tiny little pieces, so I get straight, centered results, without puckering or distortion.
I would love to see a course in how to make Dollhouse Design’s To The Ball Cinderella dress – it is such a beautiful pattern but all the layers of tulle rather intimidate me.
My biggest sewing challenge is finding enough time for all the things I want to make.
I also have trouble finding time to do all I want do. I did industrial sewing for 20+ years and wish I could remember all the short cuts, I love looking at the new hacks for sewing. To much to do and to little time!
My biggest sewing challenge is finding enough time for all the things I want to make.
My biggest sewing challenge since having cancer is getting motivated. I browse lots of patterns and visualize them made up in certain fabrics but haven’t done any yet. I need to dig in and I’m sure the love of sewing will come back.
Lately, my biggest challenge is motivation!! Have fabric, machines, including 3 embroidery machines, and just can’t get motivated.
My biggest sewing challenge is coordinating fabrics and trims.
One of my biggest challenges is deciding what to make next.
My biggest challenge is deciding what to sew next and what fabrics to use.
My biggest problem is having enough time to make all the precious patterns for the dolls.
My biggest sewing challenge is: when sewing for 18" dolls, some of the pieces are quite small and can be fiddly to maneuver under the machine foot. I know the fabric selection is crucial (heavier fabrics don’t make nice sharp points at collars and cuffs, as well as grading seam allowances. What else?.
My biggest problem is finding fabrics in small prints.
I have two big challenges competing to be the biggest! One is finding the time to do all of the projects that I want to do, and the other is getting everything organized so that I can find all of my supplies.
My biggest challenge is certainly the fact that I don’t make sewing a priority in my weekly routine. I have so many fabrics and patterns that I’d love to dig into, but it just seems that their is always something more pressing or important that I should be taking care of in my daily life.
One of my problems (there are many) I show to get rid of the pucker at the base of an invisible zipper. I am better than I was but it is still there. why?
TIME
My biggest sewing challenge is figuring out what to make first. I have so many ideas that I can’t sew them all
My biggest sewing challenge is switching from handsewing to using a sewing machine…
My biggest sewing challenge is making clothes for my 50’s Revlon etc dolls.
My biggest sewing challenge is just getting started.
My biggest challenge is sewing on knits or stretchy fabrics: what stitch to use, and what length?
I’d like to see a class on sewing felt dolls — especially how to effectively attach their head to their body. Thanks.
I have not tackled the Jean jacket pattern yet, it looked so difficult. I have had the pattern for awhile. After watching the video I feel more confident in giving it a try.
My biggest sewing challenge is finding time to sew all the fabulous patterns I have from Pixie Faire! My goal this year is to sew as many new patterns as possible!😊
I have bought several patterns but I must admit they intimidate me. I just have to sit down and put my mind to one and work it out.
My biggest sewing challenge is sewing by hand since I no longer have a sewing machine.
My biggest sewing challenge is making even gathers – especially on sleeves.
My biggest sewing challenge is learning to sew many of the specialty stitching by hand as I do not own a machine.
Well, I am still waiting on a ‘maybe’ tutorial??, for the pattern the Euro Libby Peleton Jacket. I have been stuck with the how-to for so-sew long….and too wish everyone~ Happy and Healthy New Year 🥰.
I would love to see more on adding embellishments.
Reducing bulk when sewing small items
My biggest sewing challenge is finding enough time in the day.
My biggest challenge is actually sitting down at sewing machine. I can and do cut out lots of outfits but have trouble setting aside time to get them sewn.
I have been sewing for RRFF lately. I LOVE it when you include that size in your patterns.
I would like tips on how to professionally finish garments—e.g., reducing bulk at the waistband, making square corners at the necklines on bodice tops, handsewing snaps, pressing (I can’t seem to get all the wrinkles out no matter
Finding time to sew has been my biggest challenge in recent months. I hope to change that equation in the new year.
My Biggest sewing challenge is having enough time
My biggest sewing challenge is sneaking time in to sew a garment for myself while sewing household items and projects for my granddaughters.
My biggest sewing is making doll shoes!
My biggest sewing challenge is being able to see what I’m working on. I have a goofy eye condition.
I have a hard time thread matching. That’s just a color issue probably.
My biggest sewing challenge is finding the fabrics that I want to use for my project.
I have been trying to upcycle as much as possible, ideas for use can be challenging for me. I appreciate so very much what you have provided to enhance these thoughts such as the recent upcycling for doll sweaters, the wonderful pattern for the Edwardian steamer trunk.
My biggest sewing challenge is there are only 24 hours in the day and I’ve got all these other silly things to do than sew: eating, sleeping, going to work…you know.
My biggest sewing challenge is finding room to sew.
My biggest sewing challenge is learning new sewing skills.
I have been sewing for years using Pixie patterns and I love the detail in each pattern. I ’am so glad to have found you on line. I love supporting a Christian company who also give in so many ways. Thank you Cinnamon and company, Darlene
Could we possibly see more patterns for the smaller dolls like Ruby Red Fashion Friends and Siblies???
My biggest challenge is “time”…not enough of it!
My biggest challenge is finding the courage to cut into the fabrics chosen for a doll outfit. I also struggle with getting a professional look with the outfit.
I make historically correct clothing from your patterns. Wonderful. My biggest challange is adapting the clothing to fit over a full set of underthings.
My biggest sewing challenge is enough time to complete the projects I have selected. I really appreciate great directions and supplies that fit what I am aiming for.
My biggest challenge is finding the time!! I have a lot of projects cut out and ready to sew. My new years decision is to have one day a week to stay in my craft room and sew and work in one craft project a week till they are all done. Wish me luck!
My biggest sewing challenge is sewing with slippery fabrics.
My biggest sewing challenge is making even gathers for ruffles and gathered skirts
My biggest challenge is organizing my sewing room and getting my mojo back.
My biggest sewing challenge is giving myself permission to sew something for fun.
My biggest sewing challenge is finding the time to do it all. But the actual act of sewing, my biggest challenge is working with silky/satin material. I have such a hard time with it slipping.
My biggest sewing challenge is sewing stretch materials particularly top stitching them and having the stitching look straight and even!
My biggest sewing challenge is sewing around curves when making doll clothes.
I’d like to see a steam punk sew along. LJC has several really fun steam punk patterns.
My biggest challenge….so many things….time, eyelets (I want to make shoes but I can’t get the eyelets done correctly for shoestrings, that I give up) to stretchy fabric and button holes. I resort to Velcro so I don’t have to do button holes. But my goal this coming year is practice with the eyelets and button holes on left over fabric pieces so I can become comfortable using these things.
My biggest challenge is actually starting a project – I have lots of ideas and projects set aside in the planning stage but have a hard time initiating the first step and just doing it!
My biggest challenge is working with stretchy fabrics. They seem harder to work with on small items like doll clothes.
My biggest sewing challenge is hand stitching with arthritic fingers that don’t bend completely and making a straight seam.
My biggest challenge is taking the time to sew!
Biggest challenge-finishes that look professional
My biggest challenge is knowing where to begin!
My biggest sewing challenge is taking the time to sit and sew!
I seem to have trouble with a 1/4" seam allowance. I have an old machine so maybe that is the problem or it’s just me. I would like a class on seam allowances. 3/8" is easier for me to sew. When and how to adjust for a larger seam for easier construction would be a good topic. Thanks!
My always challenge is sewing over organza or other “silky” fabrics if require ruffles. Fabric tent to slip from where I have it unless is with a serger and sometime this is not “doll friendly” – but a bit of effort and I will get it. Love Pixie Fairie and my journey with sewing for dolls.
I would love to see an in depth class about sewing machine needles, the different sizes and applications.
My biggest sewing challenge is … finding a quiet moment to sit and sew. I love the patterns offered on Pixie Faire!
My biggest challenge is staying organized with patterns and where is fabric with tiny flower patterns tub boxes with label helps a little binder with patterns etc at tomes it just frustrating and do have those little pixiefaries rearrange my stuff?

Mon plus grand défi est de m’aménager un atelier de couture où je pourrai laisser le travail en cours et y revenir quand celà me chante. Avec tous mes accessoires et mes tissus bien rangés.
My biggest sewing challenge is sizing. Because I work with a variety of 18" dolls – Lotus, My Life As, American Girl, Our Generation, Madame Alexander, and Journey – I have to worry about whether or not something is going to fit a specific brand. Some helpful tips on how to size a pattern up or down depending on the doll would be incredibly helpful.
My biggest sewing challenge is working with small pieces of clothing for instance clothes for American Girl mini dolls.
My biggest sewing challenges are time management to be able to sew, courage to finish when it’s more difficult that I thought, and matching the fabrics and embellishments I have to the pattern I select – draping of fabric for pattern details, main and detail fabrics (like a lining), selecting lace or ribbon – putting it all together.
Everything lol

My challenge is finding suitable size print fabrics.

My biggest challenge sewing doll clothes are the tiny curved seams that sometimes come apart when turned to the right side. Even using tiny stitches doesn’t always work.
My biggest sewing challenge is overthinking fabric and trim selection. I usually have an idea of what I want but it’s tough to find fabric with the right color/drape/etc. and trims that have the right scale.
My biggest sewing challenge is picking the right fabrics for the project. Just because a fabric is cute, doesn’t mean it’s appropriate.
My biggest challenge is sewing tiny buttonholes.
My biggest challenge is recognizing appropriate fabric to use
Wow, guess I’m not alone in having so many sewing challenges after reading all these posts!

My biggest recent challenge is with rivets and eyelets. Glad to see there is a class planned.
Can’t wait to see how the historical dresses are made. Also need to work on buttonholes.
My biggest sewing challenge is sewing with fabrics other than cottons.
I have 23" my twinn dolls, would like to see clothing for that size doll, not just the more common 18" dolls. There is a market for the larger doll clothing but the providers are few
My biggest sewing challenge is sewing snaps on underside and buttons on top of doll clothes at the same time.
I would love a beginner video on how to maintain a sewing machine. What regular maintenance is needed and how ofter should you do it. Also trouble shooting.
