Couture Sewing Academy Launch Contest

[The contest is over and the winner has been notified]

Hi everyone,

We are working hard on the content for our latest class - The Couture Sewing Academy! It goes "live" on April 1st, (no joke). So to help launch it with some fun and enthusiasm we thought we'd do a comment contest.

Here's What You Do: Just leave a comment as a response to this post and answer the question, "I want to learn couture techniques so I can _______________".

The Prize: We will pick one commenter and they'll get the course for free!

Details & Rules: Contest ends Monday March 30th, 2015 at 12:00 AM (Pacific). Official Rules: No purchase necessary, void where prohibited, contest is open to all states and countries where it is legally permitted.

If you haven't seen our promo video for The Couture Sewing Academy - check it out. We'd love to have you join in the program.

I love learning couture techniques. I have taken some classes on another website and came to realize that some techniques my mother taught me were couture, and handed down from her mother. The techniques remind me of a custom suit that a host family had made for me when I stayed in South Korea many years ago. They thought that American clothes were cheaply made, even though many of my clothes came from a fine department store in Seattle. I would love to learn how to make a suit that meets their high standards.

I want to learn couture techniques so I can continue to use sewing for physical therapy for my brain due to having Multiple Sclerois complications and not being able to work. I can practice on my own dolls sewing for them and use it for brain exercises with my hand eye coordination and learning something new as well.

I want to learn couture techniques so I can improve my skills, learn new techniques, get super cool tips from seasoned and creative seamstresses, so hopefully I can someday sell the doll clothes I make, and also transfer all those mastered skills on sewig real people clothes.
