I love all of the patterns I have received as free patterns. My 17 year old grand-daughter is very interested in sewing and she will be able to improve her talents by making these clothes. She has been accepted into a Fashion and Design University so making these clothes will give her experience of sewing smaller articles. I would give my prize to her to keep her interest up along with my own interest in sewing.

Pixie Faire has opened my eyes to the joyful creativity involved in dressing dolls, a pleasure I experienced as a child who loved to cut up scrap fabric and hand sew garments for her generic “high-heel” doll (an ersatz Barbie). My friends and I invented stories for the dolls to act out wearing their handmade costumes, which ranged from glamor girls to nuns, and they all had exciting adventures. I hope today’s girls are not just dressing the dolls, but also using their imaginations to take their 18 inch surrogates far and away, wherever their ideas can fly.

I love Pixie Faire because of Freebie Fridays. As a person who is struggling financially, I can’t afford to buy a lot of patterns or store bought clothes for my little girl’s dolls. I am able to make outfits for her dolls out of old clothes using these great patterns, that are better than the ones you find in stores. I truly appreciate the kindness, and for this site in helping me to provide a little happiness in my daughter’s life. I so enjoy Fridays so much now with being able to get the free patterns for the 18" dolls. The patterns are really easy to follow. I am 72 years old have just started to make doll clothes and LOVE doing it. I am a quilter also. I am able to use up lots of my scraps on the dolls outfits.
