Hi everyone,
On Friday (February 9th, 2018) we are offering a free pattern by designer Gaby Shearer. Gaby is the creator of the Originals By Gaby and Baby Mine brands. The pattern will be free starting at Midnight Pacific Time and free one-day-only. And if the pattern you voted for doesn't win, just go ahead and buy it anyway as a way to thank Gaby!
More About Gaby Shearer (in her own words): I began sewing at the young age of 6 on my mom’s sewing machine. When I turned 8, she rewarded me with my very first Barbie doll patterns, many of which I still have! I purchased my first sewing machine – an old Singer Treadle – as a newlywed. It was then that I started creating doll clothes and altering patterns to fit Madame Alexander dolls. I didn’t have kids of my own yet so gave them away to others who could use them. I was soon blessed with 2 daughters and had a ball creating party dresses, play clothes and Halloween costumes. I’m now happily retired and thoroughly enjoy my rekindled love of sewing and creating doll clothes. Publishing my patterns is just an added bonus. The real blessing comes when I get to see all of the amazing outfits created with the use of my patterns!

Too late to vote, but love the mini skirt. Thank you for sharing your patterns.
Too late to vote, but love the mini skirt. Thank you for sharing your patterns.
All so cute but I decided on Chantilly skirt.
I voted for chantilly skirt because I wonder where I would find the belt for Leesburg mini. Thank you Gabby!
You are spoiling us Gaby with these lovely patterns. I have voted for the Leesburg Mini but will be very happy with any of these patterns. Thank you very much
I would have to vote for the Christening Gown. It would be perfect for my antique baby doll.
Thank you so very much for the beautiful patterns. My grand daughters only have the 18" dolls for my vote is also for the Leesburg skirt! So cute!
I let my granddaughter choose which one to vote for. Its a fun thing for us to do together. Thanks so much. This week she chose the Leesburg mini.
I love all the details and variations on the Leesburg Mini! Thank you for your generosity and for sharing your talent!
Thank you Gaby for the chance to have a wonderful free pattern from you! The Christening gown is beautiful & something I’d like to try my hand at. I’m always trying to figure out how to make my doll clothes more professional & of heirloom quality.
These patterns are just wonderful. Thank you.
Thank you, Gaby for the wonderful doll patterns. I voted for the Leesburg Mini, but I also love the Christening Gown!
Woohoo! Leesburg mini please. Thankful for ya’ll hugs
Thank you SO much for your generosity, Gaby!
LOVE them all, but voted for the Leesburg Mini.
Your patterns are ALL adorable.
Thanks so much for all the free patterns. My vote this week goes to the Leesburg Mini. So cute.
Leesburg mini it would be nice to have this pattern to make doll cloths for the up coming summer.
The Christening gown is beautiful but I don’t do much sewing for the Bitty Babies. I choose the Leesburg mini. Thank you for offering these wonderful patterns.
Oh my goodness!! What a difficult choice. Love Carly’s dress but as one who loves heirloom sewing I have to vote for the christening dress!
My vote is for the christening gown. It looks just like the one my babies wore!
Carly’s dress – more patterns for 15" baby dolls would be welcomed.
My vote is for the Leesburg mini. As always it was a hard choice to make. Also thanks for the history of Leesburg, I am putting it on my list of American towns to visit. Thanks Gaby for your wonderful designs and offering these beautiful patterns.
Love them all! Thank you for letting us see them all, anyone would be great to have. My vote goes to the christening gown.
Thank you so much for all of the Freebie Friday patterns! Thanks to Gaby for the great choices that she offered for this week! The Christening Gown is beautiful, but I chose the Leesburg mini this time! I would like to see all of the options offered for Wellies or Bittys once in a while because the 18 inch seem to win each time.
All outfits are adorable. I voted for the Christening dress, it’s beautiful. Thank you for offering the patterns.
Thank you Gaby! Lovely patterns. The Christening dress is adorable! I only sew for 18 inch dolls however so I am voting for the Leesburg skirt.
Hi, I love the Leesburg mini, and thank you Gaby and thank you Cinnamon!
j’adore le modèle Christening Gown For 15 Inch Dolls une bonne idée qui frea plaisir aux petits enfants modèle élégant et raffiné bravo
My vote is for the Leesburg Mini for 18" dolls. Thank you Gaby for your generosity and cute patterns.
Thank you for offering a free pattern this week! I am throwing my vote in for the christening gown. It looks beautiful. I think my kids would actually like the bonnet the best. They don’t have a bitty baby, but I am sure with minor adjustments the bonnet could fit other dolls.
I love the Leesburg mini with it’s inverted pleat! Thank you very much to Gaby for offering her patterns for Freebie Friday—it’s so appreciated. I would like to see a Freebie Friday with four choices for the 13-14" inch dolls—Wellies, Corelle, Heart to Heart, etc. They never have a chance to win against the 18" doll patterns. Surely, those with only 18" dolls could sit out one week to give the rest of us a chance on the other patterns since they have gotten 18" patterns every week since this started, possibly with a Bitty Baby in there once or twice. Thanks!
Thank you, Gaby, for these adorable patterns. My vote went for the Leesburg mini; a definite winner in my opinion!
I’m voting for the sweet christening gown to fit Bitty Baby. I love it.
Would love to make the Leesburg mini! Thank you!
Thank you Cinnamon and Gaby. Great patterns! I voted for the Leesburg mini.
I feel as though I have enough stylish skirts for the 18" doll, so I chose the christening gown. With less or different ornamentation and a shorter skirt it could become a flannel nightgown. With a different skirt on that same yoke, and a happy cotton print, and some rick rack or embroidery, it could be a day dress.
Fabulous patterns! I would love to make the Leesburg mini.
Carly’s dress would be nice for a Bitty Baby.
I voted for the Leesburg mini. Different ways to make it are great. Thank you Gaby and Pixie Faire for the freebie Friday it’s a good choice to pick from.
Each outfit was cute but I enjoy sewing for the 18"dolls. Thus, I liked the skirt with the belt.
Thank you, Pixie Faire, for sponsoring Freebie Friday. Big thank you to Gaby!!! The designs are beautiful, but what I really appreciated is seeing that you had included cutting lines in the Leesburg for the Pre-Mattel dolls. I usually have to check pattern measurements for making our Molly’s clothes. So sweet of you to consider sewing for “vintage” AG. Hard to believe that Molly has been in our family for 22 years…
Thank you Gaby for the choice of a free pattern from your range of designs. I like all of them, and have two on my wishlist already, so I am thrilled for the chance to gain one for free. I love the Chantilly Skirt/Skorts pattern and the Leesburg Mini Skirt pattern…..
I love the leesburg mini, hard to choose both beautiful.
The Leesburg Mini gets my vote
Carly’s dress
All are cute, but since we just have one doll, an 18" Madame Alexander, the Leesburg Mini got my vote.
I really like Leesburg she looks so cute in her skirt:)
Leesburg Mini gets my vote! So lovely for Spring! Thank you so much for Freebie Fridays! I am grateful and truly appreciate Any and All free patterns that you so generously share with all of us every week! Even if it fits a doll that I don’t have, I appreciate all that you give as you are so generous and kind to share with all of us!
The christening gown has my vote It’s beautiful. Thanks for offering these great patterns
Leesburg Mini gets my vote! So lovely for Spring! Thank you so much for Freebie Fridays!
Oh wow, I love all of these! I’m voting for the christening gown as my grandaughter’s doll needs some clothes!
Thank you for your generosity!
Christening gown is lovely! Would love to make one!
The christening gown is lovely and my choice and the babies are often ignored.
I really don’t need any of them so I voted for the Carly to help the Bitty’s win!
I vote for Chantilly. Love it! Thanks!
I’m so thankful, Gaby, for all these patterns!! Mo
The Christening gown is just beautiful.
I can’t decide they are all great!
Thank you for such lovely pattern choices. I am voting for the Leesburg mini.
I vote for the Leesburg Mini. Very cute!
Thank you for your generosity, Gaby! I opted for the Leesburg Mini.
Appreciate all the patterns. Please consider occasionally doing a selection that does not include 18" dolls. Or maybe voters should consider voting to help those who sew for ‘other’ dolls.
I love your patterns Gaby and thank you for the great choices. I voted the Christening gown but I would be happy with any of them.
I like the crisp lines and fit of the Leesburg. Thanks Gabby
I’ve been looking for a skirt for a golfing outfit. I think Chantilly skirt would work. Thank you.
I vote for the Christening gown. At least one hospital in our area accept tiny gowns or clothes for still born infants. I think this pattern might work for them. Thanks Gaby for the beautiful patterns.
I would choose the Christening Gown as it presents a great challenge, It looks like a wonderful pattern to make. All your patterns are reader friendly, great instructions. Thanks for the opportunity to add yet another patterns to my collection.
Thank You Gaby for this great choice of patterns
Thank u
I’m voting for the christening gown to practice the techniques.
The patterns are all beautiful but I love the Leesburg Mini best!
Thank you Gaby for the beautiful patterns. I voted on the christening gown as I have three different size dolls but few patterns for the baby doll.
I’m voting for the Leesburg Mini… It’s so cute! Thank you… :)
I love all the patterns. Thank you so much for offering them. I choose the Leesburg Mini. I like the pleat and the fitted waist.
I vote for the chantillie skirt but honestly they are all beautiful and difficult to choose just one. I want to thank you so much for offering your designs.
Cute patterns all but voted for the Leesburg skirt.
The Leesburg Mini with all those new techniques to learn
I voted for the christening gown. I’m sure everyone has some naked babies laying around that need one of these gowns.
I chose the Leesburg Mini skirt for the 18-in doll.
I like the belted look and pleat down the front.
Thank you Gaby for offering us a free pattern. :~)
Leesburg mini because it has some techniques to try out
I totally agree that it would be nice to have just Welli and Bitty patterns and no 18" for a change and if there’s a designer in the loop coming up, it would be nice if they would take those wishes into consideration. I LOVE the Christening dress, voting for that as I already have Carly and have used it a lot. Thanks you for the pattern offerings
I love all the patterns Thank you again Gaby
Christining gown!
I vote for the Christening Gown. I have many Bitty Baby patterns, the majority of which I designed myself but I haven’t done a christening gown. Thank you for doing one so.simple yet so lovely. I enjoy heirloom sewing and I’m always looking for a chance to practice my techniques. As an fyi, I live near Leesburg and I’m a native northern Virginian
I like Carly’s Dress My Youngest GGD’s have the smaller dolls. They need new outfits made for them too.
The Christening gown! It’s beautiful!
Thanks for letting us vote on all these beautiful pieces.
How about next Freebie Friday we vote on patterns for Wellie Wishers and /or Bitty Baby… and not include any patterns for 18" dolls! I’d like to see who wins that contest. ALOL.
Thank you Gaby for sharing your lovely patterns. I voted for the Christening gown. My baby doll is just a little bigger, but, I’m pretty sure that I can make adjustments. Thank you to Cinnamon also, for this wonderful site.
Have to go with the Chantilly Skirt. All the patterns are great.
I vote for the christening gown, but it doesn’t look like it will win as any pattern that is not 18" American Girl doesn’t stand a chance.
I would love to vote for two!!! All darling patterns. Since I will be sewing for my new granddaughter’s Bitty Baby, I chose the Christening Gown. :)
All nice but the Christening Gown by Baby Mine is beautiful. Thank you!
Thanks so much, Gaby! Love your patterns (that christening gown is fantastic for the detail)! I voted for the Leesburg mini skirt, since we only have AG dolls, and my daughter is a fashionista (much prefers the fitted waistband over an elastic one). Thanks, Cinnamon, for another great gift!

I vote for the Chantilly skirt…so cute!
