On Friday (February 9th, 2018) we are offering a free pattern by designer Gaby Shearer. Gaby is the creator of the Originals By Gaby and Baby Mine brands. The pattern will be free starting at Midnight Pacific Time and free one-day-only. And if the pattern you voted for doesn't win, just go ahead and buy it anyway as a way to thank Gaby!

More About Gaby Shearer (in her own words): I began sewing at the young age of 6 on my mom’s sewing machine.  When I turned 8, she rewarded me with my very first Barbie doll patterns, many of which I still have! I purchased my first sewing machine – an old Singer Treadle – as a newlywed. It was then that I started creating doll clothes and altering patterns to fit Madame Alexander dolls. I didn’t have kids of my own yet so gave them away to others who could use them. I was soon blessed with 2 daughters and had a ball creating party dresses, play clothes and Halloween costumes. I’m now happily retired and thoroughly enjoy my rekindled love of sewing and creating doll clothes.  Publishing my patterns is just an added bonus. The real blessing comes when I get to see all of the amazing outfits created with the use of my patterns!

Chantilly Skirt Designed To Fit 18 Inch Dolls Such As American Girl®: Wear the trendy Chantilly Skirt to school or the mall and you will be a fashionista. Off to the tennis courts? Or a track meet? The Chantilly Skort is right on trend. This PDF pattern includes pieces to make the skirt in a 2 way stretch knit or a light weight woven fabric. Add the shorts to the knit version for a completely different look. So quick and easy, you will make it again and again.Recommended Fabrics:  For the knit skirt of skort, 2 way stretch knit fabrics like lycra, ponte, dancewear, or spandex. For the woven skirt, lightweight woven fabric with a soft drape such as rayon challis or a chiffon. A cotton or cotton blend may be used for the main skirt pieces.

Christening Gown Designed To Fit 15 Inch Dolls Such As Bitty Baby®: So sweet and lovely, this beautiful Christening Gown features dainty pintucks on the front bodice with side pleats for added fullness. The short puff sleeves are gathered to the arm band using a Hong Kong finish. The long skirt has optional pintucks and inserted lace around the bottom. The bodice yoke is lined with an attached slip. Lace is added to the hem of the slip and peeks out below the dress. The pattern also includes instructions for an easy to make Bonnet. The back closure directions call for hook and loop tape, but snaps or buttons can easily be substituted.
Create a Christening Gown in Batiste or Rayon for a soft, delicate version. Use a cotton or cotton blend for a younger child. Even a colorful print version is loved by little ones playing with their dolls. 

Carly's Dress Designed To Fit 15 Inch Dolls Such As Bitty Baby®:  This pretty dress goes together so easy! Use a cotton for a casual look, or change up the fabric for a fancier occasion. Add a t-shirt or leggings for a fall outfit. Carly’s dress features a lined bodice, a full skirt, and over the shoulder straps. Straps can have buttons or knots in the front. This PDF pattern Includes instructions for using an invisible zipper or hook and loop tape in the back and can be made without the waist piping for an easier version.

Leesburg Mini Skirt Designed To Fit 18 Inch Dolls Such As American Girl®: A stylish A-line skirt with just enough detail, the Leesburg Mini has an inverted pleat in the front, front slant pockets, back darts, and a waistband with belt loops. The waistband is cut on the bias for a little give and a flatter fit. Choice of zipper or hook and loop for the back. An optional blind hem tutorial is included for those that want a dressier skirt. The pockets and belt loops are also optional. This is a good skirt to up your skills on. Start without the pockets, belt loops and blind hem. Work up to the intermediate skills as you learn. Cutting lines are included for the larger pre-Mattel dolls. Leesburg is an old historic town that sits along the Potomac River in northern Virginia. Settlement began there in the early 1700s.
