More About Each Doll
Lauryce – a girl who rises above the storm. Hurricane Katrina showed Lauryce the importance of reaching out to people and animals in need. Her and her friend start LIL Hearts (Living in Louisiana Hearts) to raise money through volunteering, bake sales, and charity walks for sponsored children in Haiti and animal shelters around New Orleans.
Tipi - a weaver of wonderful stories. Her father is an artistic puppet maker teaching Tipi his craft while she tells the rich stories of their country. With her creativity, she is determined to help her class by winning a mural contest to raise money for much needed school supplies.

I chose Tipi. I had a Laotian friend growing up and Tipi reminds me of her.

I am really looking forward to Laurie. I have Dell, and they both have a different look to them because of the different hair color and style. But also I really like the Katrina story.
I love Lauryce. I always wished I could be a blond. They are both beautiful. I LOVE New Orleans. I’ve only had the opportunity to visit twice a LONG time ago but still remember every moment and every place we visited. Would love to have a beautiful doll to remind me also.
Tipi is very much the creative soul we all would like to be. Her face is very beautiful and realistic.
