Designed to fit 14.5" dolls such as WellieWishers™, this versatile cardigan comes with three sleeve variations. It is knit all in one piece, from the top down. There are NO side seams; in fact, the only seams needed are on the underarm of the raglan sleeves. It has a special “fast and easy” eyelet cable that does NOT require a cable needle. The sweater closes in front with buttons and has a Garter Stitch or Ribbing band at the hem. The collar is worked in a seed stitch. The cable makes a wonderful detail all on it’s own or you can embellish it with embroidery & bead-work for a three dimensional effect.
The cardigan is knitted with fingering yarn. Yarn and needle suggestions are provided in the pattern. (Approximately 100 yards)

I enjoyed making this sweater. I enjoyed doing it so much I made 5 of them! The pattern is fairly easy to follow, I had a few questions on a few things, but as I went on, I was fine. I am not an experienced knitter and that is probably why I had a little difficulty following the pattern. The sweaters turned out so cute, and they fit perfectly. I paired the sweater with a dress made from the Polka Dot Party Dress pattern and the shoes are from Plain Jane Shoe pattern. The dolls were ready for Easter!
I made this cardigan in cream for the 18" doll. It fits all my dolls really well and is a very pretty pattern. I had no problem with the directions and it was well set out and illustrated.
This sweater is beyond cute. Love how the entire sweater comes together and then the collar is knitted last. The suggestion to use the 'mattress stitch' for sewing the seams and then finding the youtube video to teach how to do it was a big learning time for me. The underarm seam becomes invisible! It was a challenge knitting on such tiny needles but so worth the effort Love this pattern.
