Let's get started...
Supplies Needed:
-10” x 8” scrap of knit fabric
-Hair elastic
-Thread
-Scissors
-Sewing machine
Step 1: Cut two 10” x 4” strips of fabric with the stretch lengthwise.
Step 2: Fold strips in half lengthwise, stitch with a ¼ seam allowance.
Step 3: Turn strips RIGHT side out.
Step 4: Tie a knot in the middle of the elastic.
Step 5: Loop one strip through the elastic.
Step 6: Pin the ends together with the seams centered and facing out.
Step 7: Stitch with a ¼” seam allowance. Clip corners.
Step 8: Flip the strip and line the elastic with the seam, pin.
Step 9: Stitch with a ¼” seam allowance.
Step 10: Loop second strip though the first.
Step 11: Repeat STEPS 5-9 for other side.
You're all done! How cute is this?!?

Love this! I love the natural curls look (biased because my daughter has beautiful curls). I use a spray bottle to wet the hair and then curl the hair over my finger, hold for a couple of seconds and then release.
Because I make doll clothes and accessories for my granddaughters I plan to make matching child/doll headbands from this tutorial. Thank you so much!
I don’t really have any tips cause I never make time to do my own hair…..I’ve seen so many cute styles (especially on some of the dolls) that I wish I could do to my own long hair.
