My favorite holiday tradition is getting together with my family; both my immediate family and my extended family. As a kid I just loved going to my Grandparent’s house or a Aunt and Uncle’s house and playing with my cousins! As I got older I loved sitting in the living room or at the table and listening to my aunts and uncles and grandparents talk about life. I felt part of something bigger than myself and I just plain enjoyed myself because I really enjoy my family!!

My favorite holiday tradition is actually on Christmas Eve. I come from a very large family who lives near each other and none of our houses are big enough to hold all of us at once, so we do house to house visitations on Christmas Eve. My love of Christmas trees, decorations, lots of lights, those traditional foods you only eat once year and just the joy and the spirit of the season has never changed but now I see and enjoy Christmas through the eyes of others not just mine. At this moment I can hardly wait to see my beautiful granddaughter open her gifts from me as I know the many new doll outfits I have patiently sewn with my overly large fingers will send her over the moon. Happy holidays to everyone and I hope each of you enjoys every moment of our journey.
