I have Gingerbread Day with my 8 Grandchildren. It is the first Saturday in December when every grandchild over the age of 3, comes to my house and we make gifts for their parents and grandparents. One of the most favorite gifts is a round stuffed ornament with the child’s paint hand print on one side, and a group picture (photo transfer) on the other with the Date. My 22 yr old Grand daughter still has hers.

One of my most meaningful traditions during this busiest time of year is to give even extra volunteer time for others. My favorite holiday tradition is making Christmas cookies and pies on Christmas Eve while watching holiday movies or listening to (and singing) Christmas carols together as a family. When the baking is done, we like to pile into the car with cocoa and drive around town looking at all of the beautiful Christmas lights. How wonderful it is when that day falls on a Sunday or Wednesday, because we can enjoy the holiday lights as we return home following our wonderful evening church service with our church family. God is so good! We are very blessed. Happy holidays to everyone!
