I shop for my supplies at my local Joann Fabric, it’s convenient and they take coupons and usually have what I want, this includes fabric and patterns. But I buy my speciality patterns from Pixie Faire, I have never been disappointed with the quality from their design group.
I shop for fabric at my local quilt/fabric shops, and The internet where I look for small owned quilt and fabric shops. I love the shop need’l love. They always have the best customer service. She was able to help me find just the right fabric and notions. Since I live in the middle of the desert with the nearest town 2 hoys away I have to rely on the internet shops and Etsy when my local stores don’t have what I’m looking for. Home Sew always have doll sized zippers and buttons.
I shop at my local Joann’s store, it is the only place in town these days. I also buy from Ebay and Etsy shops and definitely buy patterns from Pixie Faire and other sites like FarmCookies.
I shop for sewing supplies almost everywhere. I certainly frequent fabric shops from Mom and Pop shops at home and when I travel, JoAnn’s, Hobby Lobby, Walmart, thrift stores, yard and tag sales have all supplied me with fabric, buttons, other notions and novelty items. If you know quality you can buy anywhere. I have purchased commercial patterns, and Pixie Faire patterns. I also have a degree in Clothing and Textiles and draft quite a few of my own.
I shop locally whenever possible; but I also always have two online favorite shops. I love to shop at Pixie Faire for doll clothes patterns because their patterns are top notch and their customer service can’t be beat! For small print cotton fabrics for my doll sewing, right now I shop at the Missouri Star Quilt Company. They have lovely quilting fabrics that work great for doll-clothes making, and also wonderful quilting templates and patterns. Their pre-cut fat quarters are usually just the perfect size for my projects.
