I shop for patterns at Pixie Faire because I like the variety and can trust they will be easy to follow and will require very little adjustments for final fitting.

I have been doing much less doll seeing this past year since we moved and now have bought a place that we’re fixing! I have bought my patterns thru pixie Faire and a few other sites. I also like the PDF downloads!

I have ordered supplies from Dinkydoo.com, I was pleased with shipping costs.

I shop for trims, chains and latches for purses or clothes, decorative foam for shoes on ebay.

Some items are sold in the US however most of what I purchased is shipped from China. When ordering from China you have to be careful as it typically takes 6 weeks or longer to receive an item. Some items, I’d estimate 5%, dont make it at all. Ask seller right away for a resend or money back. Ebay only allows 30 days from the expected delivery date where they will intervene and you can get your money back. Now consider most items I purchased were between $1 and $4. But even considering the hassle, this is the best place. I also price checked on Aliexpress.com and prices compare.

I shop for all my sewing needs at a variety of places (local thrift shops, JoAnn’s, Hobby Lobby, Amazon, Homesew, Missouri Star, Fabric.com etc.). I find the best doll notions at Homesew, their scale fits the best. Thrift stores, of course, have the best price but you are limited at what is there at the time. I have never had a problem with service, so far, with any of the places I go to for my sewing needs. Shipping has normally been quick except for JoAnn’s online.
