I do not sew unfortunately, but I did have my own sewing machine once, and it’s been my dream since I was young to learn how and be able to make my own things as a hobby.
I sew and crochet for stress relief. The items are for charity. I spend several hours a week crocheting while watching TV. I saw an average 8-10 hours a week.
I sew to make gifts for my Dad’s friends to see the smile on their face. Most are in their 90s. Usually I spend most of the day in the sewing room.
I knit primarily as a pleasant way to be challenged or relaxed as I may desire. On average I spend about an hour a day knitting; sometimes I go days without knitting other days I might spend 3 or more hours on a project – one with a deadline.
“I sew primarily as a hobby, as a tribute to my childhod. On average, I spend… not as much time as i want on sewing, but at weekends I try to catch up as much as I possibly can! And then i can sew 12 hours in a row!"
