“I sew primarily to learn the craft of doll clothes mak8ng, in hope to have a small business in the future. on average, I spend, right now, 4-6 hours a week. In less stressful times, 15-20. I also knit for charity auctions, make gifts of scarfs, hats and mitts to keep little ones, and older ones warm in our crazy winters. I spend 20-25 hours a week, in the late fall and winter, and barely look at it the rest of the year.

I started making doll clothes (as an adult) when I began making porcelain dolls. It was very enjoyable to make unique clothes for my dolls. I stopped for several years—work and illness, got in the way. I got interested again when I found your website. Since my porcelain dolls are not the right size, my husband just bought me an 18" doll to try my hand in making a different style of doll clothes. I can’t wait to begin making doll clothes again—I know what I will be doing with all my quilt scraps.
