When I had younger kids I created a lot of their outfits and when I was even younger I made all my own dolls clothes. But now I sew only to mend things. I would love to make some of the adorable and beautiful items I see on your site. Until I learn my Serger and find the time away from book making I can only admire and purchase from others who have perfected their skills. I do spend a fair amount of time window shopping.
I sew primarily as a hobby. I spend about 8 hours each week sewing doll clothes, making fabric baskets and liners, and all sorts of household items.
I sew knit and crochet for fun. I usually manage to squeeze in about 10 to 15 hours a week. Not nearly as much time as I would like.
I sew, knit and crochet as a hobby. I am retired now and actually never sewed until I retired.I am self-taught with the fabulous help of Pixie Faire! Now I sew doll clothes for my granddaughter and last spring I made matching dresses for her and her doll! All of these hand arts help to keep my mind sharp in my retirement.
