I sew as a hobby and it provides my sanity. I sew approximately 25 hours a week and I work full time. I am obsessed with it. Hadn’t sewn for 30 years and now I am back at it and love it.
I sew as a hobby and the amount of time I devote to it depends on if I have new projects lined up and how much time I can set aside to do it. I got my sewing machine to make the occasional baby gift or mend our clothing. My granddaughters got baby dolls then 18" dolls and I was off on a tare sewing clothes for their dollies.
I sew for pleasure _ realized long about that I wasn’t saving money. I do handwork (sewing, crochet) so I can be busy while I listen to audiobooks. I’m not sure how many hours a week – I still work so I have to squeeze in the time.
I sew mainly as a hobby, but plan to work towards making it more of a home business. I spend anywhere from 20-40 hours per week sewing.
I sew as a business and spend about 30 hours a week in my sewing room.
