I sew primarily as a hobby and for relaxation. On average, I spend about 3-4 hours per week on it – but plan to do a LOT more when I retire in 3 years!
I sew primarily for fun and to relax and give most of it away. I did get gready and keep a quilt for my own bed last summer. I sew many items for our crafts at our musuem doll club. We meet once a month during the school year and have a history lesson and snack for girls ages 6-12. After the lesson we do a craft and often try to teach some sewing skills. Last winter volunteers brought in enough sewing machines so the girls could make doll quilts. I’ve made doll jeans and skirts from old jeans and the girls have decorated those items. I squeeze in what time I can around work and other committments, probably averages 5-6 hours a week.
I sew and knit primarily as a hobby. On average, I spend a completely arbitrary amount of time per week on it – sometimes I don’t make anything in months, and then I’ll go through sudden phases of mad productivity!
I sew primarily for a hobby then changed it into a home business cuz I got carried away sewing clothes for the granddaughters. I sew about 20 hours a week.
I would like to see as a hobby on a regular basis. I do not have a dedicated sewing space which puts a damper on being able to come and go as time allows.
