I sew primarily as a hobby. On average I sew 20 to 40 hours a week.
I knit and crochet mainly for what I hope to be a home business. My sister hopefully will be doing the sewing. As I am retired and can do these things watching TV, I do it most of the day and evening, with occasional walks and bus rides to stores, but on a senior’s income this is not often. This is why I look forward to the free patterns every week.
I sew primarily as a necessity.. I make 90% of my daughter’s and my wardrobes… I occasionally sew to barter for other things as well. I spend 10-15 hrs a week at the machines lately (catching up sewing I owe people that we traded for Christmas)

I started sewing as a hobby but after retirement decided to turn it into a home business. I sew anywhere from 2-6 hrs a day and 4-5 days a week depending on my health.
