I sew primarily for the fun of it. I spend a couple hours a week depending on the time of year it is. I sew them for my granddaughter and her friends. I give them as birthday gifts, charity donations and Christmas gifts. I love it. Thanks
I sew primarily for my own dolls and for selling in November/December at craft shows. I sew much more in the winter as I’m a gardener and we have a short summer in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula so I work in the gardens then. For myself, a few hours a week, for selling maybe 10-12 hours a week, but mostly in a few long days per week when I get on a sewing jag. I do other crafts and art too for myself.
I love needlearts (smocking and all types of embroidery) and crafting small/miniature items. Lately I’ve been making doll things for my grand niece and am currently enjoying making clothes, shoes and doll food. Sewing helps make the items useful but I really prefer the handwork. I spend time most days in some sort of creative endeavor.
I sew for enjoyment and to see the joy I bring to little ones…It started as physical/occupational therapy and is now pure joy.
I sew and knit primarily as a hobby and therapy on average, I spend about 14 hours a week on sewing projects, sewing software and knitting.
