A favorite cultural tradition I take part in or find interesting is listening to bagpipe music! My mother’s side was Scottish and we went to see the Highland games every year and the massed pipers marching down the hillside was always thrilling to see. We also celebrate Little Christmas on January 6th that comes courtesy of the Grandmother on my Father’s side. There was a lot of German influence on the family so Christmastime is Stollen and Wienachtlich. The cultural patterns I would like to see at Pixie Faire is just more of them. My dream goal is to recreate the collections of dolls from the past where they were garbed in all the local area ethnic clothing that has since died out. So I’d love to see some designs in some of the regional clothing of Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas.
A favorite cultural tradition I find interesting is anything Irish, Scottish and Native American. I would like to see cultural patterns based on authentic traditional Native American clothing and ceremonial dress from different tribes.
Love them and I know some one else who would too!
The cultural tradition my family celebrates is Thanksgiving. I would love to see more Native American Indian patterns.
A FAVORITE CULTURAL TRADITION I TAKE PART IN OR FIND INTERESTING IS the St. Patricks Day parade. A CULTURAL PATTERN I WOULD LIKE TO SEE OFFERED AT PIXIE FAIRE WOULD BE traditional dresses worn by many of the people around the world.
