A FAVORITE CULTURAL TRADITION I TAKE PART IN OR FIND INTERESTING IS OUR FAMILY DINNER NIGHT. WE CHOOSE A COUNTRY, EAT PREPARE AND EAT FOODS, AND ENJOY/PLAY SOMETHING FROM THAT CULTURE. A CULTURAL PATTERN I WOULD LIKE TO SEE OFFERED AT PIXIE FAIRE WOULD BE TRADITIONAL AFRICAN DRESS.
My favorite cultural tradition we take part in is making poppy seed bread with my mom! She use to make t with her grandmother and she with her mother before her! Two generations ago it was done in the former Czechoslovakia (sp?) but then moved to America!
A cultural outfit pattern I would like to see at Pixiefaire would be a Dutch girl traditional outfit with the hat and pointed shoes. That would be fun. I don’t know that I have any favorite cultural family things other than church life. We like to celebrate all Christian church festivities.
We love the World A Fair that is held in Dayton each year. I would love to see a Welsh National Costume along with the Welsh Flag and a sweet lamb. My mother was a WWII War Bride from North Wales. All my family on my mother’s side live in North Wales. We have been there many times to visit and they have been here to visit. I miss my family very much but I am so grateful for FaceBook and email.
A cultural pattern I would like to see offered at Pixie Faire would be outfits from other countries, especially ones in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
