A favorite cultural tradition I take part in or find interesting is St. Patrick’s day. A cultural pattern I would like to see offered at Pixie Faire would be something with shamrocks!
Since I have many Revolutionary War relatives, I’d like to see patterns from that time. Since I am from so many countries, any of the above traditions could be celebrated. :)
Oh my, where to begin. I guess the biggest cultural thing my family has done involves food. I’ve been involved with gardening and then canning and freezing since I was big enough to place peach halves in a quart canning jar. Dh and I have had a garden for all but about 3 summers of our 50 years together. I love to cook and bake, trying foods from different countries using both internet recipes and those from the vast collection of my mother’s cookbooks which are now mine.
It would be really nice to have these outfits since we live in the highlands of VA.
I find all cultures interesting as it is neat to see how they live and their celebrations. I’m fourth generation Canadian so we do cook different foods from different cultures. I really enjoy different clothing from different cultures.
I’d like to see more authentic indigenous peoples’ cultural traditions featured.
