I have the hardest time finding most small sized notions, probably because I live in a small town.
Too bad these huge prizes couldn’t have been divided up into smaller prizes for more winners over the 12 days.

I have a hard time finding regular and separating zippers. After reading everyone’s comments, I’ve gotten some ideas on where to find things. Shipping costs are a factor though, as are minimum orders when I’m not sure whether the quality or ease of use will be a factor. Will be sure to check out the recommendations and weblinks given. Thanks for providing this grab bag prize…just reading the comments and trying out the links is a prize!

I have the hardest time finding knit fabric with size appropriate design on them for doll clothes. I live in a small town and have to travel 45 miles to the nearest fabric store and then usually they don’t have what I want. I have a list when ever I go to the “big city” which is 100 miles away and shop for fabric to last me months!

Pixie Faire has the best selection of patterns. I find everything I need here. In fact I always find something new when ever I look. Material is from JoAnn’s and Hobby Lobby. Hancock Fabrics use to be the best since I could always seem to find something in their remanent section. Sure do miss them. Zippers are always the hardest.

I’m relatively new at all this. So have gleaned much valuable information from reading others notations here. I started using mainly velcro closures but they “catch stuff”, snarl hair and become ineffective, so have gone to primarily snaps. But I have looked for and had difficulty finding small decorative buttons for doll clothes.

I find doll sized notions everywhere because I always am looking. The oddest place I think is Oriental trading Company. They have a gazillion things, but if you look closely once in a while you can find tiny or smaller scale buttons or other things – especially if you look at the components of kits, and the pricing makes it worth buying the kit for the parts in it.

I have the hardest time finding small print material and zippers. I have picked up tiny buttons at our local thrift store and regularly go through their salvaged materials bin. I shared this information with another lady so now I often miss appropriate materials that she picks up. We don’t have a JoAnns or Hobby Lobby in our area, nor does the WallMart sell materials any more. My choices are very limited so would really appreciate winning today’s prize.
