my favorite trick is when putting in a zipper I first baste the seam closed. That makes for a hidden zipper every time!
My favorite trick is when sewing on tulle or other netting I save dryer sheets or use wash a way interfacing and put that behind the netting so it doesn’t get hung up on the feed dog and still feeds evenly.
I like adding some hand sewing to give each outfit personalization. It might be a hand sewn hem or a lace embellishment sewn on by hand, or a hand embroidery.
My favorite sewing tip or trick is to use primarily pattern weights and only a very few pins (just enough to hold the pattern to the fabric after cutting). I find I get much more accurate cuts this way – and lose far fewer pins!
My favorite sewing tip is never sew when you are overly tired. You will make mistakes and end up having to take out seams that you never would otherwise.
