My favorite fabric to sew with is Quilters Cotton. I love the feel of it and There’s always so much variety and beautiful prints. But I’m trying hard to branch out to knits and silkies.
My favorite fabrics to sew with are a tie between good quality quilting cotton and silk organza, which sews like a dream and keeps its shape well.

First choice is 100% COTTON, because first & foremost, I am a quilter. I make quilts for family & friends, special occasions, and sometimes I even get paid to make one for someone else!
Second choice is cotton KNIT, because primarily when it comes to making baby clothes or doll clothes, I love the feel and how easy it is to sew with.
My favorite fabric to sew is any fabric that is bright colored. My love of color shows both in the quilts I make, the doll clothes I sew and the clothes I sew for myself.

My favorite fabric is one that does not ravel and that presses well. The fiber content is not as important to me as much as the ease of sewing, ease of care and strength.

Polyesther satin is my favorite fabric to sew with! It makes beautiful doll dresses, as well as little girl dressrs. It comes in beaitiful colors and is easy to work with!
My favorite fabric to sew with is cotton shirting as it is thin enough to manipulate for doll clothes. It is not bulky like quilting cotton, but has more hand than a lawn or batiste.

My favorite fabric is cotton simply because of the selection of prints. We have a very poor selection of knit prints at an affordable price in my area.

Much easier to say which ones I don’t like – which would be the really slippery taffetas and lining fabrics. I just love sewing, no matter what the fabric.

My favorite fabric to sew is SPANDEX! I make gymnastics leotards and spandex is king. I know it’s hard for a lot of folks, but after sewing only spandex for the last 10 years, I’m not sure I’m equipped to sew “regular” material anymore! Stretch needles, stretch thread, tensions all set for stretch…….
My favorite fabric to sew with is whatever I get from estate sales. Mostly, I think, it was for quilters, but I use it for dolls and baby toys. I suppose it is cotton, but there are no tags. I have found fancier materials in the bunches, but find they’re slicker and harder to use.

My favorite will have to be quilting cotton, it’s all I have to work with. Occ satin type. Made Cinderella and prince Charming outfits for my granddaughter.
