My favorite era of clothing and fashion is the ’50’s – ’60’s. I was a teenager during those years and had a nice collection of dolls and enjoyed making outfits for them. As a budding seamstress, I collected patterns and made my own. I would love to see an assortment of appliques, jewelry, and other adornments.

My favorite era for clothing is the ‘50s. I was born in ’51. And my granddaughter got Mary Ellen for Christmas. I already made them matching aprons in a vintage look cherry fabric. So cute! I’m really tickled about the first AG.not doll, Logan. I’d like to see 50’s patterns for him.

I like the American Girl historical dolls because of the authenticity AG puts into their clothing and accessories and I don’t especially like dressing our dolls as adults. I would also like to see more patterns and/or instructions for accessories — some of my favorite “patterns” were The Flossie Potter “18th and 19th Century Homespun Handicrafts” and the Jinjia Mixed Goods books.

Being a 1954 high school grad, I still love the full skirts with full slips, blouses and sweaters, saddle oxfords shoes with bobbie socks.
