My biggest challenge in sewing is learning to have patience when following pattern directions. I’m self taught and some can be so confusing.
my biggest challenge with sewing, knitting and crocheting is finishing the project, I love the initial part of putting all pieces together but hate the final touches, buttons, tying off loose threads or yarn tail, etc
I only know how to crochet. Thought about learning how to knit but if we all had more time to do the things we want to do. So my challenge is time to learn how.
My biggest challenge is getting started. I need a specific place to keep my sewing machine and projects to make it easier.
My biggest sewing challenge is getting started, haha
My biggest sewing challenge is finishing sleeves, specially if they have CUFFS that have that opening which I always miss to put correctly!
One of my biggest challenges is sewing a ruffle on top of the garment where both the top and bottom of the ruffle are exposed. My difficulty is positioning the ruffle on top of the fabric so that the distance from the edge is consistent. I hope I’m making sense but when you put the ruffle on top of the skirt you cannot see the edge
My biggest sewing challenge is TIME! Making the time to sew! However, this is closely followed by organisation and energy!
My biggest sewing challenge is getting started, I don’t have a dedicated sewing space right now or storage space for my project. I need to really make a set schedule and come up with a plan to make this happen.
My biggest challenge when sewing, knitting or crocheting is deciding what to make and then trying to find appropriate fabrics or yarns in my huge stash .
My biggest knitting challenge is keeping my stitches/tension even at doll size. At human size, slight variance isn’t very noticeable, but make it small… oof.
My biggest challenge is to start using all the special feet I have for my sewing machine. I have at least 12 different types and only use four. I should use them but could not be bothered. I
My biggest sewing and knitting challenge is starting as I don’t have a dedicated craft area in my home as yet. By the time I pull everything out to sew (in particular), it is time to put it away again☹️
My biggest challenge is taking the time during the day so my family does not feel I ignore them. So, I stay up way to late sometimes until 3am. I am tired during the day. Sleep, sew, feel guilt— still trying to find a balance.
My biggest callenge is finding tiny fasteners and zippers, without paying an arm and a leg.
My biggest challenge is finding appropriate knit prints. If designers are creating such adorable fashions for knit fabrics, manufacturers need to step up and give us a better selection. I repurpose a lot, sometimes you need more fabric than an old tee shirt can provide.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is keeping supplies organized and finding time to sew. They must be related.
My biggest sewing challenge is sleeves. I find drafting sleeves to be so hard and sewing them on is one of my least favorite things to do.
So many projects all in bundles. I need a more consistent sewing schedule.
My biggest challenge is time and organization.
My biggest sewing challenge is time. Carving out time in the sewing room is difficult when the kids are home, especially now that nobody naps anymore! (I am usually too tired after they go to bed!)
My biggest challenge is motivation. I am too easily distracted by social media and needy pets 😂 I need more self control!
Deciding what material and other things to use in a project is ny challenge.
Marion
My biggest sewing, knitting or crocheting challenge is not spending too much! I have so many ideas of what to create with all the wonderful patterns I get on Pixie Faire, that I tend to go overboard at the fabric store!
My biggest sewing challenge is zippers. I sew mostly historical costumes and clothing and zippers are rarely used. Trying to sew them into modern clothing makes me so nervous and they never go in quite right.
My biggest challenge is starting a project .
Marilyn
Getting organized is my biggest challenge.
Joan
My biggest sewing challenge is finishing a project before starting another project.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is even though I’ve been sewing & crafting for 50 years is sewing with knits & fancy fabrics & I have yet to figure out knitting! Knit One, Pearl Two? Huh? SMILE.
My biggest sewing, knitting and crochet challenge is completing one project before starting another. I love to plan and starting a project then before I finish it, I’m thinking about the next project!
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is fitting, whether it be myself or dolls.
My biggest crocheting challenge is not holding my working yarn so tight my hand cramps.
My biggest knitting challenge is determining what knitting wool is appropriate weight wise for patterns and getting my tension correct.
My biggest sewing, knitting, and crocheting challenge is time. As I get older I am getting slower. Everything seems to take so much longer to accomplish.
My biggest sewing challenge is time. It takes me so long to finish a project.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is time.
My greatest challenge when knitting is picking up all of the stitches to make the button bands.

TIME! My biggest challenge for any sewing/craft project is time…sigh :o)
My biggest crochet problem is keeping the guage.
My biggest sewing, crochet, or knitting issue would be finding the supplies I want to use. It does help when the suggested supplies have a supplier or website listed, but so many supplies are not readily available. I appreciate a list of resources supplied by Pixie Faire.

My biggest sewing challenge is finding time to do it all
my biggest sewing challenge is deciding what to make! I have so much fabric that I become overwhelmed with the choices.
My biggest knitting challenge is the impact of slight differences in yarn weight and texture on garments for small (14") dolls. I knit for a non-profit and generally use donated yarn, or whatever is on clearance at Tuesday Morning. I rarely use the specific yarn that a pattern suggests using.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is finding the opportunity to go to the nearest city to purchase more material, whether it is wool, crochet thread or fabric. I live in a very small town in Northern Ontario, Canada and the closest city of any size is an hour and a half away.
My biggest sewing , crocheting and knitting challenge is to finish off all of my UFOs before starting new projects.
Zippers! I do not like zippers and I think they do not like me!

I find that my biggest challenge is keeping the house clean when all i want to do is sew. I have stuff everywhere.
My biggest challenge with sewing is getting too many projects going at once. I have lots to finish.
Biggest sewing challenge is setting a chunk of time to sit and sew. Everything else seems to take priority over sewing and I really need to just have a good amount of time so I can fully concentrate and get into what I’m doing. I cantjust sit down for an hour in the middle of the day . I need my schedule cleared so I can focus.
My biggest sewing, knitting or crochet challenge is finishing! I get bored quickly and I’m on to another new project. I have an embarrassing number of unfinished projects in the closets.

My biggest sewing challenge is staying on task…I’m always seeing new things I want to sew, but not finishing the projects I already have planned.
My biggest sewing challenge is Trying to make the neck look smooth and not all bunched up or tight.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is following directions in a pattern which was not written clearly. Their finished project looks amazing, but when I follow their directions exactly, it does not look the same. I have to basically rewrite the whole pattern which takes me longer to finish my project. Lots of trial and error to get it right. I have not had that problem with any of the patterns that I have received through Pixie Faire. They are written well.
My biggest challenge in sewing, knitting and/or crocheting is deciding on colors and trims for the project before I start.
My biggest sewing challenge is space. I am currently working off a banquet table in my living room. It’s a constant struggle to keep it devoted only to sewing.

Miles of frilly fabrics.
My biggest sewing challenge is getting my stuff organized so I can start sewing again after my most recent move.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is definitely lack of time. I work full-time, and I have tons of ideas, and all the supplies I need, I’m just lacking the time to get things done.

My biggest knitting and crochet challenge is twining the yarn around my fingers to get the right tension (gauge).
My biggest sewing challenge is to keep everything organized well.
My biggest sewing challenge is sewing on satin. I have been sewing for years and this year I decided to sew a complete wardrobe for my granddaughter’s American Girl Doll. All of the patterns I purchased here at Pixie Faire turned out beautifully. I started making a doll dress out of satin, but found that keeping it from slipping while trying to sew seams was definitely the biggest challenge for me.
My biggest sewing challenge is lack of time. I wish I could be a part of SWC , but with my present timetable it’s impossible.
No challenge to sew and figure it out – the challenge is just getting my rear in gear and doing it!
