My assumption is that most of us sew! We’d love to hear more about your sewing experience. Are you just learning to sew, or have you been at it for a while? Do you use a basic standard machine or one with all the bells and whistles? What about a serger, are you using one of those? (or wondering what in the world I’m talking about!)

To enter the giveaway simply respond to this post in the comment box below and complete this sentence:

"I use a  [insert sewing machine type here]… The thing I like most about it is [tell us why]"

Comments must be left (on this blog post) by midnight (pacific) 12/29/2017.

One entry per person.

No purchase necessary, void where prohibited.

The winner will be chosen randomly from the comments received and contacted through the email provided in the comment.

We will choose a winner and modify this post tomorrow to let everyone know who won.

Okay, good luck, and if we’ve forgotten anything we will modify and/or update this post as needed.

I use an older Janome sewing machine. The thing I love about it most is the reliability and quality of the machine.

I have a Janome that I bought a couple of years ago. What I like best is the needle threader feature. I used to find it very difficult to thread my old Singer machine.

I have several machines 1930’s singer treadle that grandmother taught me to sew on; kenmore bought in late 60’s has wonderful mending stitch; 3 bernina with embroidery modules; singer featherweight, Use the bernina’s most. Easy to thread. More bells and whistles. Starting granddaughter on featherwright. She would love this doll to go with her AG doll.

I use a Bernina QE, and I know there are newer models but I love my machine. I also use a Brother serger. The thing I like best is how dependable they both are, they never let me down.

Currently I have an 8 year old husqsvarna Viking Emerald 116. It was given to me by my husband the year our first daughter was born. I love that it’s sturdy and can handle my constant sewing and that I can move it from place to place as I finish my pieces. I would love to learn how to use a server and would love to try my hand at a more sophisticated machine…just to see how it feels. Most of what I’ve learned about sewing has been on my mothers old server and a basic Brother. My current machine, though old has been wonderful!
