My assumption is that most of us sew! We’d love to hear more about your sewing experience. Are you just learning to sew, or have you been at it for a while? Do you use a basic standard machine or one with all the bells and whistles? What about a serger, are you using one of those? (or wondering what in the world I’m talking about!)

I use a Babylock Destiny to sew and embroider. I love it because it is easy to use and offers numerous pattern and embroidery designs.
I use a Bernina 1260 (older machine). I love its reliability and stitch quality.
My homage to my dear 1940s Kenmore sewing machine Ole ‘Betsy’. She was made for Sears by the White company and was the workhorse in American homes. She was handed down to me when I was 10 when my Mom got the new Singer Stretch and Sew. There must be millions and millions of miles of stitches on that wonderful machine as we have grown older together. She doesn’t do any fancy stitches, although she has a little box of mystery attachments. She’s dependable, solid and will live forever. My precious daughters and granddaughters all sat on my lap and learned to sew, first starting threadless using simple shaped unused drawings & coloring book pages to get acquainted and they all quickly fell in love with it. In addition to a lifetime of sewing, (including hundreds and hundreds of doll clothes/accessories), I continue to do a great deal of invaluable volunteer work on her. I wouldn’t trade Ole ‘Betsy’ for anything! Thank you Pixie Faire and fellow sewers for all your ideas and inspirations!
I use a Babylock Soprano as my primary machine. I also have a Bernia for the heavy stuff like vinyl and pleather, a Brother Serger, and a Babylock cover stitch. I learned to sew a few years ago on a Singer – which is horrible and makes you think that the mistakes it makes are yours. Since then I have found that having the proper tools makes sewing more fun and enjoyable and I am sewing more and more.
I use an old White sewing machine most (I have several others) and I most like how inexpensive it was and how well it has worked for me over the 15+ years I’ve had it.
