My assumption is that most of us sew! We’d love to hear more about your sewing experience. Are you just learning to sew, or have you been at it for a while? Do you use a basic standard machine or one with all the bells and whistles? What about a serger, are you using one of those? (or wondering what in the world I’m talking about!)

To enter the giveaway simply respond to this post in the comment box below and complete this sentence:

"I use a  [insert sewing machine type here]… The thing I like most about it is [tell us why]"

Comments must be left (on this blog post) by midnight (pacific) 12/29/2017.

One entry per person.

No purchase necessary, void where prohibited.

The winner will be chosen randomly from the comments received and contacted through the email provided in the comment.

We will choose a winner and modify this post tomorrow to let everyone know who won.

Okay, good luck, and if we’ve forgotten anything we will modify and/or update this post as needed.

Happy Holidays!

I use a Kenmore machine I bought in 1980. The thing I like most about it is that it keeps on going. It does everything I have asked of it over the years, including thick materials, specialty materials, etc. I do have a serger but it is just so complicated. The Kenmore does it all.

I use the Babylock Decorator’s Choice and Elageo Plus and Evolution server. I love my Babylocks because of the special features like needle threader, all the many built in stitches and I never have a problem with the tension. They are very reliable and I have wonderful local support.

Jodie

I use a Babylock Melody. I don’t really care for it at all.

“I use a Viking Opal. The thing I like most about it is how beautifully it sews. I love all the “bells and whistles”. I just choose the type of material I am working on and it displays the needle size I need, what to set the tension at and even suggests the stitch I should use depending on whether I am sewing a seam, hemming or overcast.
I have been sewing forever! My world changed when I got a serger about 25 years ago. This gives such a wonderful finish to your seams as well as beautiful rolled hems which is a time saver.
Recently I received a Brother S400 sewing/embroidery machine for when I visit our son in Florida. This little machine is a great back up to my Viking and also sews great. Bonus is that it has just the right size to embroider doll clothes.

I use a Brother machine and serger. I like them because they have just enough useful features and easy enough to use!
