The darling little pajamas are from Shari, the designer behind the Thimbles and Acorns brand, as the prototype cover piece for the 14.5" Union Suit pattern - too cute! We've completed this set with a brand new 14.5" Welliewishers Emerson doll!

My assumption is that most of us sew! We’d love to hear more about your sewing experience. Are you just learning to sew, or have you been at it for a while? Do you use a basic standard machine or one with all the bells and whistles? What about a serger, are you using one of those? (or wondering what in the world I’m talking about!)

I have a 12 year old Kenmore and it is the greatest. I have had many machines since I got my first one at 14 and I’m now 71 but I love this the best. It has never lets me down, sews through what ever I ask it to and sews the straightest line I have ever seen! Can’t ask for much more.
I use a Janome, I love everything about jt. It has embroidery on it, and a wide variety of stitches.. I love that machine!
I use a Viking Opal 690Q. The thing I like most about it is the fabric settings.
I use a Brother XR9500PRW. The thing I like most about it is the nice variety of basic and decorative stitches. It is great for quilting, doll clothes and other crafts.
I use two Bernina machine – 930 and 180. I use both of them (almost) on a daily basis because they are soooo dependable. I started when I was 8 yrs old with my Grandmother’s treadle sewing machine where I had to put books on the treadle so my legs would reach it. Don’t laugh – I’m old but my granddaughter would love getting the doll.
