My assumption is that most of us sew! We’d love to hear more about your sewing experience. Are you just learning to sew, or have you been at it for a while? Do you use a basic standard machine or one with all the bells and whistles? What about a serger, are you using one of those? (or wondering what in the world I’m talking about!)

To enter the giveaway simply respond to this post in the comment box below and complete this sentence:

"I use a  [insert sewing machine type here]… The thing I like most about it is [tell us why]"

Comments must be left (on this blog post) by midnight (pacific) 12/29/2017.

One entry per person.

No purchase necessary, void where prohibited.

The winner will be chosen randomly from the comments received and contacted through the email provided in the comment.

We will choose a winner and modify this post tomorrow to let everyone know who won.

Okay, good luck, and if we’ve forgotten anything we will modify and/or update this post as needed.

Happy Holidays!

“I use a Bernina 740 bought in 1966.The thing I like most about it is the solid construction (all metal), all the stitches that a home sewer could need, all the presser feet which clip on easily, the solid reliable back-up service. This machine has paid for itself over and over – I really have no desire for another machine although I do admire the work produced on them.

I use a Husqavana Lily 550 and a Brother CE-5000. The thing I like most about the Lily, (which was given to me by my sister in law who couldn’t take it with her when she moved onto her boat and sailed off to the sunny coast of Bermuda, from the cold eastern shore of Canada, to live), is learning how to use all the wonderful features and addons. The thing I like most about Brother is it was given to me by my Mum who is dying of brain cancer. She said to use it when Miss Lily got to be much too handle.

I own a Singer, but I rarely use it. I do almost all of my sewing by hand because I feel more connected to the project. I am usually making things for others and this way, I feel like I am giving something more of myself in whatever I am making.

I use a Husqvarna sewing machine. I like most that it is easy to use and has a lot of versatility.

I use a Sears Kenmore sewing machine. I have a special attachment to this machine it was one that my dad bought for my mom. He passed away more than 30 years ago. It has embroidery cams and button attachment. It still works well after all these years and I really am happy that it is. I have sewn so many things with this machine.
