“I use a Singer 6217C (which I’ve had for over 40 years) for quick mending and a Bernina 1130 for more involved sewing… The thing I like most about it (them) is that they both are quality machines that make it enjoyable to sew!
I have a few machines, but currently I am using my Husqvarna Viking Ruby Royale. The one requirement I had in finding a new machine was the needle up/down function and all of the Vikings have that among a few other options I really love. My husband surprised me with a older Singer 15-90 but sadly, it needs to be completely rewired as the wires are frayed and I’m scared to even try using it.
I use a Brother SE1800 machine… The thing I like most about it is that it is also an embroidery machine which saves space in my home.
I use a Singer pattern sewing machine. The thing I like most about it is that it has a removable extension arm.
“I use a Janome QDC sewing machine… The thing I like most about it is, it sews a nice stitch, light weight to carry with me and the light is delightful to sew by.]”
Happy 5th Day of Christmas!
I use a Singer sewing machine. What I like is that it has a needle down position. Dislike that I can’t adjust the presser foot for heavier fabrics.
I use a Kenmore Electronic machine to make doll clothes and quilts. My
grandma taught me to sew on a treadle machine when I was about 4. I love my machine but because of wear and tear I`m looking a a brother machine and I have it down to 3 models. I`m new to the Pixie Faire site and I`m really enjoying it.
I am currently using a Brother, and I like it because it’s user friendly!
I use a Pfaff with an attached walking foot. Love it! I have a Janome serger that finishes seam allowances.
I have my gramma’s straight stitch only machine I learned on in the 60’s, and a new last year embroidery/sewing machine, I still have a garage sale Kenmore machine (which was still new in the box but had been shipped around the world with a navy wife) I picked up when my kids were babies and an economy serger I bought at the fair one summer early 90’s. I recently acquired my mom’s machine. For me, my machines are like old friends complete with many wonderful memories, I will one day pass them on to the young ones and they will continue to bless their friends and family with their own lovingly created items. I love the new machines with speed control because my granddaughter is now learning to sew and shows talent for designing little stuffies.
I’m currently using an old Kenmore sewing machine. I like that it was free and it isn’t too complicated. I learned on a Janome Hello Kitty sewing machine that I still have. Love that it’s not intimidating for those new to sewing. My mother-in-law has a Bernini and she was impressed with how easy the Hello Kitty sewing machine is to use.
I use my old Bernina from the 1970’s… The thing I like most about it is it’s outstanding stitch quality – I rarely need to mess with the tension, and I’ve sewed everything from formal draperies to lingerie and swimwear over the years. I only use my newer machine when I need a walking foot or a specific stitch, such as the one that looks like a buttonhole stitch.
I have a Pfaff Creative 2140 and an old Viking Husqvarna that was one of their very first computerized machines. The Viking is a great workhorse and is excellent at velcro. My favorite features of the Pfaff are the integrated walking foot, it feeds fabric extremely well, does “semi-automatic” buttonholes as an option, and can do free-motion quilting. I’d like to find a great mechanical (non-computerized) machine that I can keep running forever that will do general sewing well. I also have a Pfaff serger and LOVE having one! I especially like it when doing people clothes and household sewing. I switch between serging and zig-zag for doll clothes, but really like the look and stability of the serged edge the most.
I use a brother sewing machine. I love that it is easy to thread and has lots of decorative stitches.
I use a few different sewing machines, the one I like best is a Kenmore because it has a feature that allows me to chose if the needle is up or down when I stop sewing which seems simple but I miss so much when using other machines.
I use a Sears Kennemore Sewing Machine. I bought it when my son was born 29 years ago. I have more high tech ones now, but I always go back to that one for sentimental reasons!
I use a singer sewing machine. The thing I like most about it is its simplicity and how easy it is for my daughter to learn to use it too.
The electronic board in my 1985 Pfaff just died this past year. Since I couldn’t get it fixed I replaced the machine with another Pfaff. This time the Ambition. I love the integrated walking foot for precision and control in all my sewing.
Currently I use a Bernina 830 and a 1300 serger. The thing I like most about it is it has a wide space for sewing and I can embroider too. My mother taught me to sew on an old Singer that only did straight stitch when I was very young. I was making my own clothes and clothes for my Barbie doll and baby dolls at 9 years old. I’ve been sewing ever since (I’m now retired) & still love creating with a sewing machine.
I use a Janome sew precise and a babylock Diana Serger. Love my serger for knits and overedging seams. Love my Janome for sewing WW clothes.
I use a Pfaff creative sensation for piecing and a Hiskavarna for finishing edges. I love how easy the machines are to use. When I feel extra creative, I use my Brother emvroidery machine to add a little flair.
I use a brother machine and I like It’s ease of use and that I can set it to stop needle down.
I have a Sears Kenmore and I like it best because it has not failed me since I bought it in 1980!!
I have a Brother sewing machine and a Singer serger. I’ve only had them both for a few years and really enjoy working with them. I love the different stitches I can create with the Brother and the finished look the Singer provides.
I use an old Kenmore machine from the 60s. It was gifted to me when I was learning to sew. I love it because it’s sturdy, metal, and it’s a work horse. Thanks for the chance to enter the giveaway! Happy Holidays!
I use a 1970’s vintage kenmore sewing machine. I love it because it is very durable and I’m able to sew canvas, leather , cotton, silk etc all with this workhorse. I’m also able to find replacement parts.
I use a Babylock Unity for my Sewing. What I like most about it is it will sew through almost anything with no problem. The decorative stitches and machine embroidery are great to have when making doll clothes.
I use a Euro-Pro 1262 denim sewing machine. It allows me to sew through multiple thicknesses of fabrics and is really easy to use. Those P.J’s are super cute!
I use a Janome DC2014. The thing I like most about it is the up/down needle position button. This machine is very affordable and great for both beginners and intermediate sewers.
I use a old singer it doesn’t do zigzag so the hole in the plate is very small I find it is the best machine for sewing tiny things as it never sucks the bits of fabric bown at the start or finish it also gives a very fine seam for doll clothes.
I use a Singer sewing machine… The thing I like most about it is that it’s easy to use.
I use a Pfaff Sensation for my sewing. Many reasons I like it but one outstanding reason is the built in walking foot. Helps feed fabric evenly.
I use a Janome 600. The thing I love the most about the machine is it’s all computer run. When I want to knot the thread, I push a button and in one motion the needle goes forward, backward , stops and a sharp knife cuts the thread . My outfits are sewn very fast because of the feature!
I use a Baby Lock. The thing I like most is that it 16 years old. And still works beautifully.
I use a serger (and other machines as well) and what I love about it is being able to finish all the inside seams on my doll clothes.
I use a Husqvarna Viking H Class 100 Q. I love it because it’s basic but yet has a number of decorative stitches & is very easy to use!
I use a Viking Epic. Just purchased it, still learning all the in and outs, but so far all is going well. Thank you for the awesome contest!
I use a Singer machine and the thing I like most about it is the easy drop in bobbin. And lots of decorative stitches.
I use a New Home Memory craft 8000, a New Home 234D serger, and a Husqvarna Viking Designer 1. The things I like most are they are heavy reliable machines that sew beautifully. My Viking makes gorgeous buttonholes and I love the embroidery unit!
I use a vintage Janome zigzagger. The thing I like most about it is what a workhorse it is. It can handle anything, and it’s incredibly easy to maintain.
Brother…. easy to use and LOTS of stitches.
I use a Bernina Record 830. The thing I like most about it is how heavy duty the machine is.
Project Runway Brother. What I like about the machine? That it was inexpensive, has some cute stitches and works well.
I moved from the west coast to the east coast and HAD an Elna, Viking and Serger. My belongings were in storage, the person who was helping me broke in and took all my sewing machines, the family silver, stereo equipment etc. So I had nothing and wanted to start sewing again. People loaned me machines but they were not the best. So I bought a Brother (had an old one that was given to me when I was 16 —40+ years ago)
I have created some lovely things and have posted a few on you pattern sites so it is keeping me going till I can go out and spend the money on a nicer machine.
At least I am sewing and happy doing it.
I use a vintage Singer 401A. Those things seldom break down, I can handle most repairs, adjustments and cleaning. It does dozens of stitches and has taken thousands of miles with 100’s of gifts.
I love my Bernini 1130. For many years I have provided it with excellent care, and it has provided me with many happy hours of sewing.
Bernina. It is SO easy to use and very reliable. It is the third Bernina that I have owned and love all the extra features like fancy stitches, embroidery, and my walking foot.
I use a brother sewing machine and the thing I like most about it is it is user friendly so I can teach my granddaughters to sew.
I use a Husquvarna with embroidery unit that my husband got me a few years ago. I enjoy the variety of stitches built in and I always have my White machine as back up!
I use a Brother sewing machine and the thing I like most about it is all the different decorative stitches that are available on it and that it is user friendly.
I have a sewing/embroidery Babylock Ellure machine. It is about 17 years old but it still runs great and I haven’t had many problems doing embroidery with it. I also have a Jem Platinum 760 (15 yrs old) which is great for taking to sewing classes. I have a Bernette 700D serger and when I couldn’t thread that one, I bought the Babylock Evolve serger (14 yrs old). I was gifted a Babylock Embellisher which does needle felting. I should sell them all but one serger and buy a new one sewing/embroidery machine !
I have an older Kenmore that is very dependable for my basic sewing. I also have a newer Brother sewing and embroidery machine that I am getting better at using. I love the many extra accessories and software that I can get for this machine.
I use a Bernina 880se The thing I like most about it is versatility and amazing quality
The kind of sewing machine I use is a HuskyStar. I have a Juki industrial, but we moved and I don’t have it set up. The HuskyStar is really basic, but it does what I need.
I have a B770 Bernina sewing machine. It’s new, and still learning – but I’m really loving the thread cutter feature!! When I use my other machines I have to stop – wonder why something isn’t happening – then cut the threads!!!
I sew on a brother sewing machine. What I like most about it is how smoothly it sews and how easy it is to use!
I use a Janome Skyline S5. The thing I like most about it is what an upgrade it was to the fairly basic 20 year old Kenmore I was using. The needle up/down, thread cutter, speed control, not to mention all the stitch options. Oh, auto tension is nice too!
I use a Brother SQ9050 sewing machine. The thing I like most about my machine is how easy it is to use for a beginner like myself.
I have a Husquvarna with embroidery unit and really enjoy using it. There are so many features on the machine that make sewing such fun. I have been sewing for almost 60 years and love all the neat things my machine can do.
I use a Bernina, and it is so smooth, I just love it..
I use a Bernina 830 machine and the thing I like most about it is that it has a 1/4” even feed foot which makes stitching doll clothes much easier.
I use a Bernina 820 with all the bells and whistles to sew most of my creations. I have sewn since i was 8 which is a long time. :) I love to create!
I’ve been eyeing these Wellie Wishers. What a fun prize.
i use a brother … got it when I retired 3 years ago, still a novice but love learning & it is not complicated
I use a Babylock sewing machine. I bought it off the internet and it is an old embroidery machine. It is the best thing that I have sewn on. I hadn’t sewn for like 30 years so I had no idea what machines can do these days. Works perfectly and I love that it has a thread cutter and an automatic threader.
I use a Pfaff Jeans & Satin 6122. The thing I like most about it is it makes great stitches.
My present sewing machine is a 12-year old Pfaff. My favorite machine was a 1964 Singer. I made my wedding dress on this machine. It had A PERFECT 1/4” presser foot (on both sides) and made perfect button holes. It also had (and still has) a complete instruction book on line with videos. I actually worn it out.
I have a Brother Dream Machine that I use for embroidery and sewing. I love that its easy to use.
I use a Husqvarna Viking Sapphire. I love it. It is easy to use and has lots of options for pretty stitches. It sews well on all weights of fabric. My last Husqvarna lasted over 20 years, and I still have it as a backup.
This would be a fantastic birthday gift for my granddaughter in Feb.
I use a Bernina 1630. I’ve used it for over 24 years. I like it because I have never had any problems with it. It has sewn the wedding dress and bridesmaid and flower girl dresses for three of my daughters weddings. I maintain it with regular tune ups with the same company so they know my machine. I also have a Bernina serger.
I us a brother sewing machine. The thing I like most about it is that I can also do small embroidery designs, perfect for dolls.
Besides sewing, I also have a love of vintage machines. They are so neat. I have several old straight stitch Singers, a 15-91 and a Featherweight. My current go to machine is a vintage Kennmore from the early 60’s in a cabinet. It is all metal and so reliable. It has zigzag which I love, and a few other stitches. I also have an entry level Brother serger. I do not utilize all it can do, but I do know how to serge seams and do a rolled hem. Now, just to find time to learn how to utilize it to the fullest.
I use a Pfaff Tiptronic my mother purchased in West Germany in the 80s. They told her it was a workhorse, and they were right! It’s still going strong!
I use a basic standard sewing machine and the thing I like best about it is that I can clean it, repair it, and easily maintain it and it is all I need. I have been sewing for over 60 years and know that a fancy machine cannot make up for lack of basic sewing and tailoring skills. IMHO, sergers are for draperies and commercial items so I do not use one.
I sew with my Kenmore machine. It was a gift from my parents when I was in college and taking textiles courses. I like that it works well but is not overly complicated. It does what I need It to do.
I hand sew everything because I can do it whenever and wherever I want.
I inherited a 1977 Bernina. At 68 I’m learning to sew and this machine is perfect. A workhorse!

I use a Brother sewing machine. What I like about it is that it can also be used for embroidery.
I just got a new Brother sewing machine for a Christmas gift for regular sewing and embroidery, still in the box! With the holidays I didn’t dare open it. I have an old used Ricar from a school and a White Westinghouse probably 10 years old so am Very Excited to use my new machine!
I use my mother’s Singer and my Kenmore. I like that they don’t have an overwhelming amount of features.
I use a Singer Confidence Quilter (7469Q). The thing I like most about it is that is easy to use and came with a nice set of accessories for both sewing and quilting. Quilting was my first foray into the world of sewing and this machine was very easy for a beginner to learn how to use.
I use a Viking Designer Diamond, it is a very easy to use sewing and embroidery machine that I can do very large embroideries on was well as teeny tiny ones with the same amount of ease. It is also a very reliable machine that is a joy to sew on.
I use a Singer Fashion Mate. The thing I like best about it is that my aunt gave it to me when I was 16. I wanted to learn how to sew using a sewing machine. It was old when I got it, but many years later, it’s still going strong.

I have a whole assortment of machines.. but the one that gets the most us is the janome its has a speed control feature that I can use when teaching someone to sew. or when I just need to slow down in a delicate area…Thank you sew much for making this holiday fun with your games..
“I use a an older Elna machine most of the time… The thing I like most about it is the feeling of solid quality — it does a lot, and all of it well.”
I use a Bernina 710 sewing machine. The thing I love most about it is the durability. It is my third Bernina and I have sewn miles with them all. From trampoline covers to the tiniest of doll clothes. My grandson and granddaughter have my first Bernina 830 in their mothers sewing room and it sits beside her Bernina!
I use a Singer 5930c … The thing I like most about it is it’s slow enough to help me make beautiful doll clothes and 30” bunnies.
I use a vintage green Elna… The thing I like most about it is the case becomes the table.
I use a Viking Emerald sewing machine and a BabyLock Imagine serger. They’re both workhorses and are very reliable machines! One of my favorite things about the Emerald is it’s ability to sew two lines of stitching (with a double needle), so making Liberty Jane jean jackets is a breeze! :)
I use a Singer Fashion Mate that I recently recieved as a gift from my mother. I love how easy it is to use and the decorative stitches that are available to use.
I use a Bernina 830 Record. The thing that I like most about my Bernina is that it is the first and only sewing machine. Purchased my 830 in high school and have sewn many projects and outfits for self and granddaughter. After many years of rest, I am rediscovering my love for this machine sewing doll clothes, doll house curtains and will be sharing my love for sewing by teaching my granddaughter. I can’t wait for our Abbie to decide what her first project will be.
I use my Babylock Sophia 2 the most. So far it has been very reliable. It does a nice job for most of my work.
I use a White 8910 which is equivalent to a Viking #5. I like it because it is sturdy, the threads don’t jam, the tension stays correct, and it can use the specialized feet that fit the Viking #5. I also have a Huskylock serger.
The sewing machine in our home is a Brother.
The thing I like most about it is that my sweet husband bought it and he has sewn me beautiful doll clothes and now is sewing clothes for our family. He loves this new machine. I call him a Seamster!
“I use 2 Janome New Home machine & baby Lock Imagine serger. The thing I like most about Janome’s is they are heavy duty metal and go thru leather/demin/upholstery/etc as well as light sewing. Mine are 40+ yrs old. (One needs new drive belt, as I wore it out sewing thousands of miles of fabric) Poor thing ! Drop feed dogs on them are a MUST for me. 53 yrs of sewing and will probably stay with the work horse models. Thank you for all your contest and your ministry to sewing. A prosperous 2018 to you & your staff/designers !
I use a Babylock Ellure… The thing I like most about it is it is so easy to use.

I use a Pfaff Creative 7570 sewing machine. My favorite feature is the adjustable needle position.
