My assumption is that most of us sew! We’d love to hear more about your sewing experience. Are you just learning to sew, or have you been at it for a while? Do you use a basic standard machine or one with all the bells and whistles? What about a serger, are you using one of those? (or wondering what in the world I’m talking about!)

To enter the giveaway simply respond to this post in the comment box below and complete this sentence:

"I use a  [insert sewing machine type here]… The thing I like most about it is [tell us why]"

Comments must be left (on this blog post) by midnight (pacific) 12/29/2017.

One entry per person.

No purchase necessary, void where prohibited.

The winner will be chosen randomly from the comments received and contacted through the email provided in the comment.

We will choose a winner and modify this post tomorrow to let everyone know who won.

Okay, good luck, and if we’ve forgotten anything we will modify and/or update this post as needed.

Happy Holidays!

I use a few different sewing machines, the one I like best is a Kenmore because it has a feature that allows me to chose if the needle is up or down when I stop sewing which seems simple but I miss so much when using other machines.

I use a Sears Kennemore Sewing Machine. I bought it when my son was born 29 years ago. I have more high tech ones now, but I always go back to that one for sentimental reasons!

I use a singer sewing machine. The thing I like most about it is its simplicity and how easy it is for my daughter to learn to use it too.

The electronic board in my 1985 Pfaff just died this past year. Since I couldn’t get it fixed I replaced the machine with another Pfaff. This time the Ambition. I love the integrated walking foot for precision and control in all my sewing.

Currently I use a Bernina 830 and a 1300 serger. The thing I like most about it is it has a wide space for sewing and I can embroider too. My mother taught me to sew on an old Singer that only did straight stitch when I was very young. I was making my own clothes and clothes for my Barbie doll and baby dolls at 9 years old. I’ve been sewing ever since (I’m now retired) & still love creating with a sewing machine.
