My assumption is that most of us sew! We’d love to hear more about your sewing experience. Are you just learning to sew, or have you been at it for a while? Do you use a basic standard machine or one with all the bells and whistles? What about a serger, are you using one of those? (or wondering what in the world I’m talking about!)

I use a vintage Janome zigzagger. The thing I like most about it is what a workhorse it is. It can handle anything, and it’s incredibly easy to maintain.
Brother…. easy to use and LOTS of stitches.
I use a Bernina Record 830. The thing I like most about it is how heavy duty the machine is.
Project Runway Brother. What I like about the machine? That it was inexpensive, has some cute stitches and works well.
I moved from the west coast to the east coast and HAD an Elna, Viking and Serger. My belongings were in storage, the person who was helping me broke in and took all my sewing machines, the family silver, stereo equipment etc. So I had nothing and wanted to start sewing again. People loaned me machines but they were not the best. So I bought a Brother (had an old one that was given to me when I was 16 —40+ years ago)
I have created some lovely things and have posted a few on you pattern sites so it is keeping me going till I can go out and spend the money on a nicer machine.
At least I am sewing and happy doing it.
I use a vintage Singer 401A. Those things seldom break down, I can handle most repairs, adjustments and cleaning. It does dozens of stitches and has taken thousands of miles with 100’s of gifts.
