My assumption is that most of us sew! We’d love to hear more about your sewing experience. Are you just learning to sew, or have you been at it for a while? Do you use a basic standard machine or one with all the bells and whistles? What about a serger, are you using one of those? (or wondering what in the world I’m talking about!)

I use a Bernina 1630. I’ve used it for over 24 years. I like it because I have never had any problems with it. It has sewn the wedding dress and bridesmaid and flower girl dresses for three of my daughters weddings. I maintain it with regular tune ups with the same company so they know my machine. I also have a Bernina serger.
I us a brother sewing machine. The thing I like most about it is that I can also do small embroidery designs, perfect for dolls.
Besides sewing, I also have a love of vintage machines. They are so neat. I have several old straight stitch Singers, a 15-91 and a Featherweight. My current go to machine is a vintage Kennmore from the early 60’s in a cabinet. It is all metal and so reliable. It has zigzag which I love, and a few other stitches. I also have an entry level Brother serger. I do not utilize all it can do, but I do know how to serge seams and do a rolled hem. Now, just to find time to learn how to utilize it to the fullest.
I use a Pfaff Tiptronic my mother purchased in West Germany in the 80s. They told her it was a workhorse, and they were right! It’s still going strong!
I use a basic standard sewing machine and the thing I like best about it is that I can clean it, repair it, and easily maintain it and it is all I need. I have been sewing for over 60 years and know that a fancy machine cannot make up for lack of basic sewing and tailoring skills. IMHO, sergers are for draperies and commercial items so I do not use one.
