I sew/knit/ crochet and quilt primarily as a hobby. I am retired and gift my projects to friends and family. I spend 15-20 hours a week working on items and usually have 3-5 things going at any one time.

I sew and knit primarily as a hobby. On average, I spend about 30 hours in a week pursuing these activities. Most items I make are either for gifts or for charity.

I am a long time sewer. My Mother taught me to sew when I was 9. I am now 80 and have loved it ever since! Sewing has provided me with so many hours of enjoyment, accomplishment and allowed me to escape from the daily trials and tribulations of marriage and children. I am an accomplished clothing sewer, a gifted Quilter and do Boutique and charity sewing. I usually spend at least 6 hours every day sewing. Have made over 1000 masks for our local Hospital. Love making Doll Clothes for my Wellie. Thanks to Pixie Fair, she has quite a wardrobe.

I sew because I love the ability to create from raw materials. Turning a piece (or pieces) of fabic into something useful makes me feel good. The majority of what I sew is gifted or donated to organizations that can use the items to raise money.
