I sew primarily for a business. My Etsy shop is called AdollablebyRita. I LOVE using patterns from Pixie Faire because they are sized properly and the site has a wide variety of different designers.
I knit and crochet as hobbies to make gifts for others. Mostly I make shawls and Christmas ornaments, but sew sometimes, making skirts for my adult daughter or doll clothes. My great niece has 18 inch dolls. As I am retired and widowed, I can spend and usually do, 30 or more hours a week on my hobbies.
I sew for fun and work. I love to watch my sewing come to life
I sew as a hobby, I buy dolls from thrift stores, clean them up and make clothes for them. Also sew my own clothes, and have sewn things for other people. I knit at night while watching movies and take apart donated wedding dresses for a charity that makes Angel Gowns that they give to hospitals. I also like to make cloth menstrual pads for a charity group that takes them to many countries. I spend about 8 hours sewing.
I sew because I like making things for people and creating new things. Especially for my granddaughter. She loves it when I make new clothes for her dolls or her.
