I sew for my quilt shop and make doll clothes for granddaughter.
I sew and quilt several hours a week as time permits working full time. I have enjoyed Pixie Faire Liberty Patterns for my Grands and their American Girl Dolls this Christmas. They fit well. I have made two lap quilts for the grands this month as well.
I sew for creativity and for practicality. All of my doll clothes sewing now is for charity. I mostly sew doll clothes for girls on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota via a FB group called Sew For Kids. Second to doll clothes, I sew baby and children’s items and occasionally little Christmas and birthday gifts. I have never sold my doll clothes or anything else. I only sew a few hours a week as that is all the time I can allow for it. I would love to win this gift and buy some doll shoes on Etsy shoppes to compliment my doll clothes!
I am a self taught sewer. I live to make doll clothes. I have also maded myself some clothes. During Covid, I have self taught myself how to crochet. It has kept me busy and I am making baby blankets and comfort blankets that they will be given out at our local Children’s hospital
I sew because I love to. It relaxes me and is such a creative outlet. I would love to sew more, but if I get 1 hour a day I feel wonderful!
