I am an avid crafter of many sorts, I sew, crochet, knit, embroider, play piano, paint, and too many more to list here… I love to make doll clothes and I intend to sell them in time. I have quite a few Pixie Faire patterns in my collection. I used to make my own clothes in high school out of necessity. I still make myself something now and then or gifts for others but I like designing clothes for dolls the most. I am self taught and after purchasing many patterns, I can now make my own although I still will purchase a pattern sometimes because it is something I like and already created. One day I will post my designs. 🙂

I sew for fun and to make gifts for family and friends. Especially my 6 great grands. My next project is going to be making wardrobes for the AMG dolls my two great granddaughters have. I don’t sell my projects but do them out of love. I don’t know how much time I will spend on average but, for Christmas, I unfortunately started late and spent as much as 6-8 hours a day for a few weeks trying to get everything done. (That’s why I’m starting on AMG outfits NOW)

I sew because it truely is my passion. I am a retired nurse so I can spend all day sewing or quilting. Lately, I have enjoyed making doll clothes for grand-nieces that have new 18 inch dolls. I have found that is a fun size to sew for. The pieces are easy to work with but not so large as to require large amounts of fabrics. My scrap pile is finding a new purpose.

“I knit primarily, as a hobby, for at least 10 hours or more in a week. I also love to sew and I am easily distracted by many projects, but the love of my dolls and creating something for them is my main focus. I do not sell anything that I make, but I often give things away to little children that I feel just need a bit of extra love. If the recipient does not have a doll then I have the added pleasure of providing one or making one.

I do not have an Etsy Shop of my own , but I do love to buy from other Artisans on Etsy. I love buying special doll clothes created by others to cherish for myself, as the things I make I mostly give away to others. Etsy has been another wonderful way for me to meet other doll enthusiasts and Strike Up friendships and acquaintances around the world!

I sew mainly as a hobby to outfit my own dolls and make other types of items such as bags, curtains, etc. I do have a used American Girl doll sale once or twice a year with restored TLC dolls and AG clothes and I sell my handmade clothes too. It’s my retirement project as I only sell the dolls for what I have into them so local girls in our rural area can have good dolls to keep even if their families can’t afford new ones. Love it and I can do it at home too! During winter I sew probably 12 hours a week but less in other seasons when I’m gardening.
