I sew because I love to! I have been sewing for more than 50 years…since I was 12! I gave sewn everthing from clothing, window treatments, home accents. More recently I sew various items to sell on my Etsy shop.
I sew for my business, on average, I spend 20 hours a week sewing and designing doll clothes.
I only use Pixie Faire pattern because they always fit just right and they always have what I am looking for if I have a special order. I love mixing up pattern pieces to make something new!
My doll store is Kay Jays Doll Shoppe in Ocean City, NJ.
I sew primarily as a hobby. I sew mostly doll clothes for my grandchildren and friends’ grandchildren. I do a lot of patching knees on the little one’s pants and an occasional costume. I average about an hour a day.
My passion is that I love to make quilts and now that I have granddaughters, I sew dresses and costumes for them and doll clothes for American Girl dolls. I do not have an easy shop. I don’t sell what I make. I mostly gift what I make. I try to spend some time every day sewing. When birthdays are coming up or Christmas, I can spend several hours a day working on projects.
My passion is sewing and crafting. I love making Doll clothes and shoes.
